He is a terrible lecturer, bad at both structuring lectures and finding content. He once based a lecture on an Every Frame a Painting video, which he did not show or credit. Had he shown it we might have gotten more out of it than we did out of the lecture. Follow the assignment instructions exactly. Even in film class creativity is frowned upon.

In a class that was basically an intro course to directing film, he was incredibly helpful and always offered advice on how to make projects better. While there's a heavy workload outside of class the projects are a ton of fun if you're into film with the hardest part being to find actors who want to be in your videos.

OHMYGOD Keeley is my favorite Professor. His classes are fun and he knows his stuff. He makes you think about what you're learning but in a good way. He is a sweet caring professor that cares about his students. Basically, if you're crying in his office, he'll give you a friendly hug.

Professor Keeley is a very nice guy and makes Political Hollywood a very interesting course. He initiates discussions and is overall fun to talk to. He seems fond of giving A minuses rather than As on papers of the same quality.

This guy is a real tool. Entire class is completely subjective. By subjective I mean there Is only one correct answer...his. So grading is very random. I took two courses from Mike. Both were a complete waste of time, energy and money. There is a reason he is no longer the chair of the dept. Greatly lacks the leadership and personality traits.

Good professor overall, passionate about what he teaches. He is very encouraging for students just starting or are still beginners in production, and thus doesn't always give the best feedback for people who really want to improve or who already have the technical chops.

Will lock the door and bust your balls about being a min late. His classes are all the same-a bunch of busy work. His grading process will drive you nuts when writes on your paper on the lower corner of the last page in one red ilegible sentence never justifying your grade. You'll love his michael moore attitude-i'm always right your wrong.

Comment:
He is a great person. He allows you to try things for yourself, but is always around if you have questions. Intro to Video Production (290?) is a very fun, interesting class to introduce you to all areas of production.
