Comment:

Being a straight A student, able to maintain a 3.9 GPA and this one the worst class and professor I've had in my entire life. It was hard to even understand his English. He was so confusing. Never used the expensive textbook. His tests and quizzes had hardly and questions so if you got a few wrong, you failed. He wasn't personable. VERY HARD CLASS

Comment:

Magala is extremely intelligent, funny and you get the feeling that he really knows what he is talking about. His accent is strong and he recognizes that and tries to be concise and consistent he makes his point but if you tend to zone out just avoid him especially since economics isn't the most interesting subject on paper. His handwriting is real

Online course, hes your host. He requires use of Pearsons My Lab Economics, which basically does everything for him- from making the exams and quizzes to providing practice questions and notes. Quizzes and exams are needlessly long, questions come from question banks, and are repetitive. Hes completely inflexible on deadlines. Read text!

I have mixed feelings about this professor. I enjoyed his class for the most part because he's funny, but he's hard to understand because of his accent, and very difficult to read his hand writing. I appreciate the fact that he's a good professor, I just think he lacks connection and understanding with his students.

Economics itself is very dry, and is not for everyone. He is a very well educated person in this field, but besides his accent being thick which is not his fault, he does seem to expect you to understand what he is teaching you because he knows it so well. However he will help you individually a great deal. I would suggest him to the patient.

I had a terrible experience with this Professor. My GPA was 3.7 - before taking a course with this Professor. I took his online course in the Spring 2013 & withdraw because I could not understand the material. He was not @ all helpful. I tried the course again w/him this past Summer & scored a D! I do not recommend!

I took his class online during the summer. All you have to do is take quizzes, review quizzes, and exams online. The test and quizzes are very difficult but you should do the practice quizzes that are given because they are helpful. The tests are timed. You need to read the chapter in order to do good on the exams/quizzes. Overall, class was hard.

I took the online course with this professor. He helps with practically nothing at all, you might as well have the computer be your teacher. He doesn't seem to care at all for his online students. This course was a royal pain, I learned NOTHING from this professor! he may be nice in person, but he is a not a very good online professor!

Great Prof!Cant agree with the negative reviews.Hes as clear as possible and hilarious most of the time too. do to the complexity of the subject if you want to do well you MUST read book go to class every day etc. other than that very interesting class got a lot out of it.

The only professor of my 16 courses at STCC which I would not ever take a course from again. For as much as he instructed I might as well have taught myself the course! Simply awful!
