Very interesting class and a great professor. He does a very good job at explaining the material, and will use English to help clarify if necessary. There is homework due every day but it is usually not too difficult, just lots of reading but he always grades fairly. I would definitely recommend taking his class, one of my favorite professors.

Millar is a great professor I have had him for 3250 and 5600. He knows what he is talking about will go out of his way to help you if needed. Go to class as he has quizzes that he might not tell you about. Overall, I loved his class and would always take another class with him.

Millar is fantastic. Somehow he made Spanish Lit bearable. He does a great job of going through each piece so students understand what the author intended. As long as you read said pieces and turn in the online homework responses you will do just fine. He is an easy grader and just an all around good guy. You won't regret taking this class with him

He does do study guides and spends time reviewing for the exams, which aren't too bad. There is homework for every class; generally just reading and then simple questions about what you read. It's a really interesting class and time always flew by. I definitely recommend him as a teacher.

Very interesting class, and he is very easy to understand! He doesn't always collect homework so sometimes you spend time doing it for nothing. The essay portions of his exams are tricky...he gives you a grade without making comments as to what you were missing or what he was looking for. He is very nice, and the class was very informative!

There were multiple occasions during the semester where lengthly homework assignments were assigned and never collected. So irritating. His tests are essay, which is difficult- writing 4 essays in 50 minutes. I made out with a 4.0 but it wasn't easy. Also, he is super opinionated, which can be frustrating if you don't agree with him.

Millar is a nice guy, but I would not recommend him. I felt like during the semester he wasn't really focused on his teaching. He almost always posted homework really late (normally the day before class), and took forever to hand stuff back. Expect to learn history from a very biased standpoint. Not a bad class, but TONS of homework, w/o notice.

Millar is the best professor I've ever had at Western! If you want to learn alot, take his class. He made me love Spanish literature, which was difficult! Also, he totally sets you up to succeed and will respect you if you show up to class and put forth an effort. Great teacher! Take it!

He was such a great professor! One day he came in super early and made a crime scene using tons of props for us to write a journal on. He loves his job, he is funny and enthusiastic, and an overall great professor. I highly recommend this class to anyone.

This was just way way way too hard. It's the INTRO to Spanish Literature, not a graduate level class, we're not prepared for his material at all by 316 and 317 and he doesn't do very well clarifying it for us. He assigns way too much work for a three credit hour class, when there's nothing to hand out he gives you busy work and doesn't collect it.
