BAD PROFF. SUPER DISORGANIZED AND GETS OFF TOPIC QUITE A LOT. BLACKBOARD READINGS WERE EVERYWHERE, SOME OF THE READINGS HE DIDNT EVEN POST BUT ASKED US TO READ. HE IS A HARD MARKER AS WELL. EVEN IF YOU DO ATTEND CLASS, YOU'LL ONLY GET A "C"

O' Hea is not only a hard marker but slow as anything about getting papers and assignments back! Class average was very low and with getting help from a tutor I scraped by on assignments with a 60 average.... he should not be teaching an introductory english class.... not impressed!

He has things he wants you to say specifically about different works, so attend class. Not a fan of his lecture style, but he gets the point across and tells you exactly what he wants. Great feedback on papers and exams. Show some interest in English literature, ask questions, comment on the stories and poems, and you'll go up in his esteem.

I really enjoyed his class. He is so helpful when you are confused and he is very easy to talk to. He can be a challenging marker but if you ask him for help you will get great marks. He also gives amazing feedback on essays so you can learn what your doing wrong. I struggled in high scool english and found I did extremely well whenIaskedhimforhelp

Incredibly passionate teacher. He's really easy to talk to, a whole lot of fun, and wants the best for his students! Occasionally a little disorganized, but it usually works out in favour of the student. Exams are easy if you've done the readings, and essays are appropriately challenging! Looking forward to another course with Michael next year.

Terrible. He doesn't teach anything. He spent thirty minutes of class setting up and doing attendance and the rest dramatically reading the text. He likes style analysis a lot. We spent a majority of our time analyzing metre and counting sentence length. Why? Only he knows. Obviously favours boys, sexualizes women. Don't take his crappy classes.

You are going to need this class. It doesn't matter if you are in sciences with a math major, when you get to your higher level courses you HAVE TO WRITE PAPERS! so you might as well do the best you can and work on the critisism recieved. it will benefit you in the long run. He is one of the few profs at grant mac who wants his students to do well.

Knows what he's talking about thats for sure. some of what he says seems irrelevant tho. Also changes the volume of his voice constantly and can be distracting. not a really hard marker on essays if you put the effort in.
