i really like this prof. his class was pretty challenging but i enjoyed it. he gave real life examples for a lot of concepts so the material was easier to understand. i liked that a lot of the things on his test were based on the book. i really liked how he took the time to write a note to each student for the 2 essays. it was very helpful.

Comment:

O'Sullivan is amazing. He is so nice, has many personal stories related to the material, and very approachable. But this class is HARD. Quizzes everyday, the first test average was a 36/50. You need to read every chapter thoroughly and know every little fact. Very interesting, but he makes it difficult.

Tues/Thurs class: had to read a chapter for almost every class. Short reading quizzes almost daily. powerpoints/handouts/visuals are rare. Lectures are pretty boring and he focuses too much on the easy stuff, while leaving the harder stuff almost undiscussed. 3 Tests and final were 50 M/C and EXTREMELY difficult and very detailed.

Nice person but a boring lecturer- very few ppts or visuals of any kind, he just walks around and talks. Difficult class for visual learners! Extremely hard grader on papers and his tests are hard. Short reading quizzes almost daily, and lots of reading for each class. Very helpful during OH though, and he makes an effort to know you as a person.

Very generous man. My personal opinion is that he'd be a better social worker than a psychology teacher. He is not a good lecturer and expects you to know everything you read even though he does not touch on all of it in class. I also thought the essay topics were a bit pointless. He attempts to be helpful in office hours but i don't think he was.

Ok he is nice and very helpful, but he is a very bad lecturer and he knows it (he jokes about it all the time). He grades his essays very harshly (follow the prompts to the letter). His tests are also really hard and all about the book. If you juist read the text carefully you'll be fine.

Super nice guy. But EXTREMELY hard. No curving. All multiple choice tests and the questions are usually rediculously hard. He cares a lot about the subject and really explains things throughly.. yet then the test will be shockingly hard..

Dr. O'Sullivan is a very sweet man who cares about his students. Be warned that he will rarely curve anything and some tests can be very detailed. He does know what he is talking about. He was always able to help during office hours and explain concepts in class. Great professor!

The discussions and videos in the class were something to look forward to, while the test-taking was too much!
