Absolute worst professor I have ever had. Class average was a 46%. Terrible at explaining concepts, lectures are long and super boring, professor is hard to understand, assignments are way too difficult, exams are extremely HARD, only 2 exams and they're worth 60% of your entire grade. STAY AWAY!!!!

He is an ok teacher, really sarcastic which can be bad at times, emailing him for help is impossible because he will just ask you for your opinion and you wont get anywhere. Can be hard at times, some of his labs are hard at the end. But you do learn the material and he knows what he is talking about.

Typical CIS professors. Quirky and intelligent and very set in his ways of teaching which is good. Teaches you what he wants you to know and, from experience, is the right way the material should be taught. Clear assignments and tests. Near daily quizzes which make attendance near mandatory.

I liked this professor a lot. While the content of the class can be dry and programming is not for everyone, he still managed to entertain me. He is sort of a smart ass but it made me laugh. I went out of my way to take him for cis 265 next semester.

Excellent teacher, explains things clearly and is very fair in grading. He is not the easiest teacher, and you will actually have to read the book to pass the class, but he gives an excellent foundation for going to the next class. Always willing to help during office hours or over email. Highly recommended.

I can't believe this guy has so many good ratings. He is easily the worst professor I've ever had. He doesn't make his expectations clear, his lectures are perfunctory and useless, and he's condescending. He's not interested in helping students learn or in ensuring they pass his class. Half the students dropped after the midterm! That says it all.

He did a great job. I learned a lot about C/C++ as well as operating systems. He seems to really know his stuff. He's clear and he answers questions. Tests and homework are fair. I wish I knew about him earlier, I would have taken more of his classes.

he knows what he is teaching very well but he can't see that we don't know it at all and that he should explain more, I basically have to study on my own. The concept is easy to understand, but the assignments are very hard. It is harder than the examples in the book.

Excellent professor! Explains the material clearly. Exams are VERY FAIR! I think assignments are pretty easy (and fun :)). Quizes are less than simple, plus he drops about half of them. Overall - excellent professor. Has his own approach to teaching, which is VERY good. He is entertaining! RECOMMEND

The nerd of nerds; right down to the pocket protector. But that only makes him probably the best CS professor ive ever had. His quizzed are fair, his assignments are challenging but really help to re-enforce the material being taught. Take his classes if you have the chance, you wont regret it.
