This man was an absolute delight to have for a gen ed requirement. He knows and cares about the material and provides insight as to the importance of the material, all the while being very entertaining. He outlines all assignment due dates and sticks to them, so stuff never sneaks up on you. 10/10 would take again.

Professor Scott rocks!!!! he is super funny and absolutely brilliant. Would totally take another class of his!! His tests are a little hard but he offers extra credit and lots of other grades to help.

Very difficult class if you aren't a GIS major, but you can easily get a B if you do all the labs and don't bomb the exams. Now, what I'm about to tell you is the most important thing you need to know: DO WELL ON THE EXTRA CREDIT QUIZZES EVERY WEEK. The points are added directly to your final exam grade. Bumped my 70 to an 85! So read the articles!

He's very funny, helpful, and works with his students if there is a need for adjustment on duedates for labs or projects. he is very understanding of the students. He is personable, will relate things from his college years with GIS to what it is now. make sure your maps look good, he has the perspective of an artist when it comes to cartography

Easy if you pay attention and do all the work (duh, this is college). DO NOT fall alseep in his class, I've seen him embarrass several people. Cool guy, laid back, good sense of humor. Really knows his stuff. If you're thinking about major/minor in Geog, this guy will convince you.

Prof Scott is an awesome guy! He's so freakin' funny i was cracking up every class! Quizzes, assignments, map tests are pretty easy. His tests are not that easy but he curves so it's really not as bad as everyone else is saying. Its a gaurenteed B unless you really don't try. He actually got me interested in Geography when i was dreading it at 1st!

Took cartography, a GIS course, and environmental hazards with Dr. Scott. Also worked for him as a tutor and for mapping sciences group. He is a great prof! Very prepared for class....easy to take notes from. Tests are not suprises. He is very interested in teh topics and welcoming to talk to outside of class. He was one of my favorite teachers at SU!!!

Great class and a great professor. Makes the material interesting and he's really friendly (has some good jokes sometimes too). The map quizzes are easy, but study for the tests. I highly recommend him, great guy.
