I can't recommend her. It is as if she's got a grudge and always seems angry. Her expectations for writing assignments don't match up to what you're taught in English 100 - and she's always going on about Native Americans and their religion...? No class needs to be as cold as this one is and she's absolutely paranoid about plagiarism.

She can be interesting at times. I didnt like the fact that she grades unfairly and it seems as if she holds a grudge against something and takes it out on her students. She failed me on my final for handing it in 30 seconds late, and has extremely twisted views on plagarism meaning if youre a college student, you are plagarizing

Yep, she was difficult... but not the class, just her... however, I ended up being a smart allic back to her and by the end of the class had a type of sarcastic relationship with her... She does care though, not always the most effective teaching methods, but is a learned individual and that shows through

Had her for English Comp 1. The essay subjects were boring and she expected gold. Ridiculous guidelines and rules for writing, she makes you go to meetings to talk about each paper (only like 3 or 4 papers mind you). VERY boring lectures. The way she spoke annoyed the hell out of me, every sentence sounded like a question or a fill in the blank.

Wouldnt advise taking her but if youre already in her class, dont despair. Its not an impassable class. In fact, other people didnt mention some good things about her. For instance she adds 10 points to every essay just for turning in a rough draft. Also every homework assmt counts as a point on your lowest essay. Really no worse than an avg class.

She was absolutely horrendous. She did not full specify what she was looking for on many of the essays, but would then take points off because she didn't follow guidelines. She also gives you quizzes every day on the short stories she has you read, but then doesn't actually look at or grade the quizzes. Why bother with the quiz then?

Raman wasn't as horrible as being described ha. She is very strict and sometimes her rules seem a little trivial, however she is a nice person if you really get to talk to her. i had her i was told to drop her but i stayed and i passed. you just have to pay attention and do the assignments, and if you're unclear ask questions, and you'll be fine!
