I had him at the beginning of the year so he understandably had some organizational issues and he was difficult to understand. He talks very quickly and is a little quirky, but in a nice, funny way. Even though he was difficult to understand at the beginning, I was eventually able to understand him. Very approachable and helpful outside of class.

Not the clearest guy. Hard to follow in class. Lots of work, and sometimes unreasonable expectations. Wouldn't really recommend him unless you want a serious challenge. Even then, beware.

He's a very eccentric guy, but he knows what he is talking about. Read up on Deconstructionist Theory if you plan to take his class; authors like Derrida. He'll love you. Talk in his class and be creative. He has a passion for his students and their work and really wants to see them succeed as well as publish their work. All around fun guy!

REALLY tough grader, but very wise. Expect a lot of homework. You have to keep up with the reading to know what's going on in class. He can be very unclear at times, so you're going to need to speak up to understand. He has high expectations, which is good! You're in college now, so get ready for a challenge.

Took him for Brit Lit and it was the worst mistake I have ever made. I'm an English major, and love the subject but this class was just completely out of hand. At one point he assigned us 92 pages of reading! Do not take him for this class unless you adore reading poetry for hours on end, and don't mind assignments just being tacked on randomly.

He was completely confusing. Lectures were all over the place. He loved his topic, but was hard to follow, jumped around excessively, and assigned 700+ pages of reading a week. He would then ADD reading, unexpectedly, as well as sudden papers. Most stressful class ever taken, & I'm an "A" student! I cried lots. I don't recommend him at all.

Im really good at any english class, but this was Ridiculous. He made my online class so time consuming that you had to devote your life. We had to read like 2 books a week and review movies! If you didn't have a over the top discussion or answer he basically labelled you as stupid on the forum. Took again in fall with dif professor and got a A...

He is a very, very nice guy. But if you are someone who likes to stick to a clear schedule and learn best by organization, like me, then DON'T take him. His class is very interesting, but when it comes to assignments, you will have no idea what you are supposed to do because he's never clear about it.

AWFUL teacher. do NOT take his online class. he's very unclear and very rude. don't bother asking him questions because he will not answer them. expects a lot out of students but does not offer any help.

FIrst, he is very passionate about what he teaches. If you like to read and do a lot of assignments he is your guy! Second, VERY unclear. He answers your questions with another question. It is clear that he plays favorites and it shows with the reviews. You have to agree with him 24/7. Make sure to buy the books! I prob. won't take him again

Probably the best prof I've ever had. He is challenging, which is a good thing. He is always helpful and understanding. If he disagreed with you on something it was for a reason and should be considered. I've learned more in his classes than most others that I have taken. If you're not ready for this prof then you're not ready for college.

Very passionate about what he teaches. Teaches college students to read, write, and think critically. Could use more clarity on assignments given, but is always willing to work with the student to complete assignments. Over all, a great teacher.

I had him my freshman year and he was totally awesome. He respects most writing styles and loves hearing different opinions. He's very willing to help. Just be sure to re-clarify when things are due, because he does change the syllabus a lot. Yes you read a lot and write a lot but that's college writing for ya!

He is definitely and obviously passionate about what he does, and tries to get you involved, which is good. However, when he gave an assignment, he wasn't clear on what he wanted, and told you to write your opinion, but if he didn't agree with your opinion, he would tell you you're wrong. Be prepared for a long class if you don't agree with him.

He is so uclear about what he wants in the assignments. If you dont see things his way in the reading your in trouble. Confusing, and becomes fustrating revising over and over your best work, 1000 books to read. Avoid, hes unclear and confusing.

A pretty nice guy, he reminds me of Mike Myers. His class is a little difficult with how he has you write papers and what he expects. lots of reading and critical thinking. very respectful towards students, values everyone's views.
