He doesn't have a very interesting style of talking, so if you don't like art history, you'll probably be really bored. Otherwise, he's really helpful. He'll answer any question you ask thoroughly. He takes attendance everyday, so go to class. He puts every slide online so if you miss stuff in class you can find it online.

Very good Teacher. Easy A. He post the slides on the website so the night before an exam just go through all the slides once or twice and youll do fine. I did this managed an A. He scales pretty nicely too

Comment:

Relatively simple class, but VERY boring. He shows slides and explains, that's it. He never asks the class questions, but he does take attendance every day. The book was only used to study, but it is a great study guide and its hard to answer questions without it. Exams are timed powerpoint slides so get there on time or else you'll miss questions.

You have to attend this class but at least you can take a nice nap! His tone of voice is so monotonous you won't have any trouble getting to sleep. You can learn the material on your own no problem. I suggest you bring a laptop, a good book, or a crossword to get through it.

His class is soooo boring. Attendance is mandatory but its just a sheet he passes, if you sign it you can leave after. Exams are very easy. Just make sure you go onto his myCourses and study. The exams are exactly whats on his reviews. Easy class just very boring. Would take him again.

This class was really really annoying. All he does is put a painting up on the projector and talks about it for the whole class. What he says is not even relevant, he just makes up little stories about what is going on, its not on tests. The tests are easy if you study for it, and you have to go to class, it DOES count as a grade.

Had very clear lectures that demonstrated a deep knowledge of the topics. Tests and Essays were very clear and he is more than willing to help any student to better a paper or discuss grading.

Taylor was great. He never varied from what would be on the test and everything he said in class, in exact words, would be on the test. EVEN ESSAYS. Normally his "reviews" were the exact test - it was great. Just listen and class and it pays off

worst teacher ever. have to go to every class. no study guide. thinks he knows what the people in the paintings and pictures are thinking. terrible grader. test are impossible. gives you so much information and tested on 25% of it. dumb class - dont bother taking it its the biggest waste of time.

Teacher cancelled classes with no notice. There were no assignments. Only four multiple choice tests were administered. Study guides were not compatible with material tested. I do not recommend this class to anyone.

I thought the class was good. The tests weren't too hard, I made flashcards and did fine on all of them. I think Taylor is a good professor to have for your first Art History. Hes really fair, and nice.

Pretty easy choice for gen ed. Make sure you sign the attendance! Can be boring but is semi-humorous at times. Everything's on the class website. 5 mult. ch. exams, 2 w/ essay, no final. You get the essay questions a few days before the exam. Gets a little more interesting toward end of semester.

Out of class Taylor is much more personable, but in class he turns into a ROBOT. I don't know how others learn...but hearing someone lecture for an hour in a monotone is NOT the way I receive knowledge. Boring as toast, therefore I got a bad grade, even though the subject matter was easy!Blech!

Its almost impossible to fail. He ends up scaling most tests by 10-25 points and if you get someone to sign you in you dont even need to go to class, just get the study guides and read the book. Lecture are so boring its painful at times.

ZzZzZzZzZz......thats about all I did in that class....it's so boring! What else can you do in a dark auditorium with a monotone professor for 50 mins at 9am staring at paintings from back in the 1500's?????
