Comment:

Michael is one of the best teachers I have had at Ithaca College so far, but with that he is also my lowest grade at Ithaca college. He is a tough grader when it comes to papers and if you think you can not read and get away with it good luck. Classes can be boring sometimes because he does not allow technology so you CAN'T DISTRACT yourself.

Fascinating class. He's super passionate about most of the topics, which makes going to class great. Funny, engaging. Always open to questions and will do further research for you if he doesn't already know the answer. Tons of extra credit opportunities.

Trotti is a very nice man. He is helpful and enthusiastic about the subject, which really engages the class. The only thing is that he is a tough grader. I took this class for an easy history gen-ed, but I'm at a B right now. Overall, the class is okay.

Comment:

I took this class (1968) the first time he taught it and found it extremely interesting. It covers really interesting topics and he even brought in Ithaca alumni who went here in 1968. This class sparked my interest in history again and I'd love to take another class with Trotti.

It's astounding to find a professor so passionate about a subject that he makes YOU passionate about it by the end of the semester, which is what Trotti did. History was never an interest until Professor Trotti taught it to me... he made it vital and alive instead of dead and gone, the way it's taught in high school. Trotti's a real winner.

Trotti is the best history professory I've ever had. He knows his stuff and he tries to make things interesting. He was also my minor advisor and he always took the time out for any of his advisees. He is very passionate about history and likes you to become engaged as well. Definitely take as many history classes with him as possible!!

Prof. Trotti is very passionate about his work. I especially enjoyed it when he would bring in his own personal artifacts during a discussion. He is very accomodative when needing to make appointments. He always responds to emails with questions or concerns. I highly recommend taking class with him.

Quite possibly one of the greatest professors teaching in Ithaca! Readings are primarily interesting, yet lengthy. Extremely helpful/knowledgable. Take his classes. All of them!
