Very unclear and will not answer a direct question w/an intelligible answer. Acts as though he's awesome and knowledgeable, then makes obvious mistakes. He's allowed to make them, but you are not. Won't look at your paper to give you direction/feedback before turning in, just fails you after the fact.

this class is something else to put it nicely! you spend your time writing these essays that he thinks isn't great, then still gives you a zero for it if you dont add the reflective?! who does that? most professors will just mark you down but not give you a zero cause your missing one thing!! I have never been disappointed in a professor until now.

Horrible teacher! I took the class two years ago and am just now thinking how horrible of a teacher he was. He picks favorites in the class and is very unclear. Always talks himself up. Also wont read your paper to give you advice before he grades it. Very rude and mean. Hes terrible!!!! do not take!!!!

i absolutely suck at writing and i am taking 15 credit hours!. he told me to quit on my first essay he didn't even finish reading it it was so awful and my other papers were just unreadable. if you are like me and just need to pass this class i would not recommend him if you are like me. i had to call his department just so i could be with drawn from the class he would not even email me back??

Accuses you of not doing the work when you ask a question. Is horribly rude to all students. Gave me another student's grade. Doesn't meet with students. Not helpful. I didn't learn anything. Also, it was an online class. It's obvious it's not the best format for him to teach.

Absolutely awful. Worst prof i will ever have. He is never clear about any direction what so ever, and is EXTREMELY biased. He WILL fail you for the most minute things ever. Avoid this terrible man however you can. you will fail.

Mr. Wetzel is a great guy. His directions can be general, but he expects questions asked in class in order for his lectures to be useful. He is willing to help you 1 on 1 if he recognizes you have been at the very least reading the assigned readings. His grading is very fair as long as you write within the format. Be prepared to go to the library!

Had him for online writing. He is terrible. His directions are very unclear, yet he expects u to completely understand them and when you send him an email asking to clarify he tries making you feel stupid for not understanding. He refuses to take time out of his day to resolve problems or meet in person. Clearly hates his job and takes it out on u!

Not helpful at all. I had him for online writing and he does a horrible job keeping on top of things, but expects his students to constantly know what is going on. Doesn't give helpful feedback and his directions are very hard to understand. Avoid this teacher at all costs!

I took his class as a hybrid class and if I wasn't already a strong writer, I probably would have failed. It is hard to get the clear message of what he expects from students and he is so concerned about things such as where the header is or spacing between the title, that he will grade you down for this. Thankfully, I got out with a 3.0.

Very hard class and I love writing. This is not your be creative and write it down kind of class. This class has nothing to do with WHAT is being written, but is all about HOW it is written. Be prepared for trips to the library for every paper as only ONE of your THREE sources per paper can be from an online source!

Horrible. Absolutley horrible. He is very unclear, doesn't take time to meet with students, and is too involved in his social life to teach. Wouldn't reccommend even for an online class!!
