Comment:

One of the WORST professors I have ever encountered. Mr. Rotman fails to explain the material clearly, does not assist students when missing a class which is essential to pass the daily quizzes, ineffective at engaging students during lectures because they are EXTREMELY dull etc. Overall avoid this professor at all cost it will impact your grade.

Mr. Rotman is a very smart man & does not understand how to explain things because of this. When asked questions, he makes people feel stupid for asking & merely repeats what he already said, instead of explaining better. I was 1 out 5 people who dropped the class.

This class was a joke. The teacher was constantly dumbing it down. It was hard to pay attention. And when you did answer a question he was surprised. I was alwasys showing him and easier and better way of doing it. and he was just dumb-founded.

Okay at teaching subject matter, however; was terrible at explaining logic. Soft spoken, could not control the class room leading to more confusion. I had to retake course from another instructor. Unless you're a math whiz, look elsewhere.

VERY uninteresting to listen to, very soft spoken. worksheets everyday, and quizes almost every class day morning. good teaching methods, although tests are very hard. not all that helpful, ignored a few of my questions when asked and said i still did not understand. overall, did not like him

I did not pass this class, that was my fault. However Mr. Rotman is a very good teacher. He helped me as best he could. He cares about his students and helps in anyway he can.

He speaks softly; you can't hear him. He gives a quiz every day and then a worksheet everyday due before you leave, so he barely has time to cover new concepts. Avoid unless you are a math whiz. You will need a tutor if you have him. Take Jon Margules instead.

Very good teacher. He was the first professor to put anything on angel. He gets your grades back to you in a timely manner. Have to be to every class or you may fall behind, and there is a Quiz at the beginning of each class. He stops and helps people who have a hard time with math, or don't understand the concept of a "Crew Chief."

Didn't explain things well. Doesn't spend much time teaching/lecturing over the material. Timed worksheets, quizes, and test. You better be good at math and like to work at a fast pace with like help to take him.

He is very hard to understand. Do the homework because It's your only chance of "getting it." He is a nice guy but I need every resource I can find outside of class to understand the material. His in class quizzes are unrealistic. He will give you new material and 2 examples of new problems and quizz you on it 5 mins. later.

Great Professor! Always there and wants each student to thoroughly understand the material. Study guides are provided before every test and the department exam. Make sure you attend class though because there are quizzes everyday which is great because it helps you keep up with homework!! I DREADED taking a math class, but I got an A in here!! :]

Very good teacher. Extremely helpful, is there to help the student. Attendance is important for a good grade, quizzes are everyday over the previous days lesson (usually 1.5 sections of book), and usually a worksheet at the end of class (over current chapters and that days section). Highly recommended.
