Yes, he can come off harsh, but he is usually joking. You can't take what he says personally or you'll kill yourself. He is absolutely hysterical and an amazing musician. If you don't try/work, he calls you out on it, but wants you to do well so don't slack.

Micheal is the most awesome professor! He's very challenging, but isnt that a good thing? He knows his students personally and works with hem to acheive their goals. He's a great advisor and professor.
