Easy professor; is social in class and gives good input. Not that harsh with grading, but notices bs. Our class talked him out of writing a research paper, so we had to read a book and write a one page review instead. I'd recommend him to anyone afraid of english!!

Had him for 1101, and he was new and difficult then. But, now for 3102, he has gotten much better. He has a slightly odd sort of behavior and/or way of speaking, but it should be nothing to disrupt class. He's a great lover of Literature, and he'll make you one, too.

I have a huge phobia for writing papers. It took me forever to get the courage to take 1102 and thank GOD I chose Dr. Hughes. He makes you work for your grade, but he is humanly kind. I love him. Thank you Dr. Hughes!!!!!

Had him for English 1102 and now humn. Great guy all around. Understands that there is more to life than just school. Usually will let students go early especially when it is a night class. Explains the readings very well and helps you understand. Lots of READING!!!! but a fun class.

His Adv. theory II: lacanian psych. and cont. continental aesth. class is superb. Don't take it if you hate theory/art or are looking for an easy course. He ties w/ Dr. McCormack for best eng prof at ASU, and he's absolutely sexy (and married, alas!).
