Mr. Parker really makes every class interesting. I loved listening to his lectures everyday and he made my day just that little bit more intriguing. I HIGHLY reccommend taking his class as he made me, with work, become a better student, thinker, and person. Best class i have taken at ecu so far.

He was my favorite teacher, so kind and very helpful! He is a tough grader but only because he wants to see you succeed. Not a hard class to pass. I would defiantly take this class again, I wish he taught more classes.

At first, I was worried about this class. I am so glad I had a chance to have him as a teacher. He is so caring for his students and never wants to see them fail. I promise if you do his work and listen, you cannot fail. He looks like Santa and is extremely funny. I will miss him as a person and a professor.

If you are lazy and unwilling to work for the grade you want, then do not take this class. There are quizzes and blogs due each week but they are not hard as long as you read the book. Super knowledgable man. U will learn something new each class. You will really learn how to really write in this class which will help you so much. Amazing professor

Professor Parker is the best English professor I have ever had. You will begin to effectively express your thoughts and opinions in class, and you learn new things everyday. He will give homework assignments that actually require use of the textbook from cover to cover (so you get your money's worth). Most importantly he cares about his students.

Mr. Parker is a very wise old man with a lot of knowledge. He loves teaching and cares about his students. The book is always used and there is homework every week but its not hard. There are four papers that you have to write and the last one is basically the final exam. Attendance also counts toward grade. Mr. Parker is a great professor!

I've never had to write a paper so for the first day in this class he scared me, (said we have to be dedicated). staying in this class was the best decision. send him your papers before you turn them in and he'll review them. he sends out a rubric w EXACTLY what he wants for the paper. Classes are v interesting!

Let me start by saying this. I hate English. I hate reading. I hate writing, but I figured Mr. Parker was worth typing 300 characters for. He is truly an amazing professor and will help you become a better writer. He cares about his students unlike most. Throughout all of my years of school, this is the ONLY English class I have enjoyed.

He is a great professor! He really cares about his students and puts forth effort to help in any way he can. You learn a lot from his class. You cannot slack, but if you work hard you will do great! I highly recommend him to anyone!

Mr Parker is a good English Professor. If you email him your drafts and ask for advice he will always respond and email it back with comments on how to make the paper better. This was not a class to breeze through since it did require an large amount of work. Compared to other professors he gives more work than usual. But he is a fair grader,

Mr. Parker is one of the best teacher I have had in my life. He is a tough grader, but you will learn a lot and will certainly improve on writing skills by the end of the course. In Mr. Parker's class, I felt like I actually learned something. The class itself isn't too hard. Just read the selections and do the blogs. Going to class everyday and participating is very important because there is a grade for it. Overall, he is awesome, although he is a tough grader. Dr. Parker is an amazing man! He's definitely one of the best professors I've had thus far. He really care about each of his students, and he is always there to help. He's no nonsense and he grades really tough. But he makes sure you're prepared. Go to class, be an active listener, and pay attention to his notes and you'll do fine!

Mr. Parker is the sweetest man! He was so helpful and gives you exactly what he wants. There is a short reading assignment followed with a quiz and blog but it is not hard at all. Mr Parker is hands down the best English teacher I have ever had. He will improve your writing like you never thought possible. What I like about him is that he treats everyone like a writer, even non-engl majors. I had him for 1100 and I'm taking his class next semester also. His lectures aren't always about English but they're always interesting!
