Comment:

Once you get into the groove of the class, you basically know what to expect on quizzes and such and its not bad. Definitely have to study on your own though because the things done in class are pretty much useless. Ronnick has a quirky personality which is fun, grades strictly, but also gives EC. Just come to class prepared and you'll be fine.

Comment:

She is very passionate about the subject and a really interesting person! Grading however was sometimes not very straightforward on essays. No matter if you answer the question or not write as much as you can. For tests and quizes you must 100% look at your study guide because its typically always new information apart from play content.

So unhelpful. She explained nothingI had to teach myself all the materialand she gave a quiz on the 1st chapter on the 2nd day. Students were scared to participate in class because she was CRUEL if you got something wrong, even telling one student he was illiterate. Also, she goes on weird anti-technology rants at least once daily. Avoid her.

Comment:

Dr. Ronnick is one of the best professors I've taken at WSU. Latin is not an easy language, but she makes it easy. We had a quiz once a week (super easy with up to 5 points extra credit on each), there was no midterm, and the final exam was basically a two page quiz. Really fair grader and is always willing to help.

She is amazing. I would take any of her classes. She is a passionate, brilliant individual. I actually interacted with my classmates and her and I learned so much because of that. Quizzes are easy so long as you take 20 minutes to study for them.

Ronnick is great. I took word origins with her. Always helpful and she will think you're great if you participate in class. Show up and listen and you'll get an A. She is a genuinly awesome person. Highly recomended.

I love Ronnick. She is probably my favorite Classics prof in the department. She is a GENIUS and she is so helpful with everything. Make sure you read the texts, she relies heavily on them, come to class, and PARTICIPATE. She will love you if you do. Her quizzes are like mini exams so make sure you study. Her reviews tell you exactly what to expect

she is by far my favorite professor at WSU. She makes the class interesting and fun. She follows the syllabus. She wants to see you succeed. Her classes do require reading, but you are in college and should expect that. TAKE HER CLASSES. She is great. She will notice if you skip class though.

Her exams are very difficult. Doesn't give Review sheets. She's a sweet heart, very helpful, but very very detailed and a harsh grader. If there is an essay in her class, make sure to start it ahead of time. She's very blunt and will tell you that your essay was terrible. Study a week in advance for exam. Attend class, She goes VERY VERY fast!!!!

I read the reviews of Dr. Ronnick prior to going to class and for the most part they are spot on. READ! and participate in class. some think the book is not necessary but it is and so are lecture notes! she does pretty much spell out whats on the tests, so read, go to class, and study and you'll get an A.

Ecentric, VERY intelligent, and a little nutty, she's all over th place, if you take her class you'll see what I mean. She was very helpful, she told us EXACTLY what would be on the tests. WARNING: U do have A LOT of reading to do, its liek reading the dictonary, you must have many hours free to read, if u dont, dont take this class or u will fail

NUTTY is definitely the right word.The book is unnecessary,and attendance, while not part of the grade, is necessary to pass. The tests are easy to pass but you do have to take good notes and put in an hour or two of studying. She does not like it when people challenge her. Overall, teh class was decent.

Dr. Ronnick is so cool! She makes you question the purpose of everything with her hypothetical questions that really make you think. Very interesting course as we discussed many forgotten African-American scholars that rose in the ranks of academia. Dr. Ronnick is very nice and she has a style all her own. Take her class if you have the chance.

Ronnick is awesome, she engages students and makes the class fun. The stories are pretty crazy, so you remember them easily. Tests are a breeze, 50 MC with a study guide before hand. Curves grades, so that is a plus. Would definately take her again.

Ronnick is amazing. She loves what she does and she has all kinds of quirky facts that make her class so much more interesting. She brought a pomegranite in after our midterm and candy for the final. Take good notes, but don't bother with the book if you go to class every day.
