Comment:

Tammy Brannon is one of the best professors I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. She is brilliant and makes learning the subject so fun and easy. It's a lot of hard work, but she makes it that way so you ACTUALLY LEARN the subject and REMEMBER all of it. She is absolutely amazing. I would take her again for sure.

Comment:

I took Marine Bio because it sounded more interesting than regular Biology and fulfilled my general ed requirements. She made the class interesting and I feel like I learned a lot. The class is not easy but it is possible to get an A. Just take notes and then study them because she makes all of the tests herself. There are also weekly lab quizzes.

She is tricky on her quizzes & exams but she is very organized during lectures. Even if you're not good with biology, you still can pass the class because she's willing to listen every single question. She also supportive to the students, sometimes she will give us candies or muffins. Overall, this class is really fun!

Awsome teacher, will help you in anything. I just dont like the fact that you aske her something and she kinda hints you so that you can be like "oh its this" so it made me feel dumb sometimes cuz i just didnt know. Tough class but very interesting, should at least get a B.

She is one hard instructor! She will push you all the way! She gives great lectures, fun labs, etc. But her tests - to say they are hard isn't enough. And she checks/grades your binder, and you write 2 article reviews, and formal lab reports, and more. Great teacher but HARD class. Every quiz, not to mention test, much be studied for mercilessly.

She is a good teacher and a very nice person who genuinely cares that her students do well. She is generally clear with explanations but when asked for further clarification, or when challenged, she tends to simply repeat what she already said. I took Tammy Spring 2009. She was an excellent instructor, period. I thoroughly enjoyed the material of the course, as well as her approach towards instructing it. She genuinely cares about your success in the course, if you equally do as well. The difficulty of the course was average. If you're a slacker, don't insult yourself or her by enrolling.

Great teacher. You know what's expected of you. Online study guide is amazing. She knows her stuff and she'll help for sure. Very difficult class--studied at least 2 hrs/day. VERY hard tests..class avg was low 70's. when ur done w/ the class, u know ur stuff WELL if you get an A or B. Don't expect to have a social life taking this class.

In my opinion, Tammy is the best teacher at Allan Hancock College. In fact, she is better than any prof I have had since I transfered to UCSD as well. She is excited about the subjects she teaches and genuinely cares about her students. She is EXTREMELY fair and will work with you if you are struggling. I would definitely recommend her.

Great teacher who cares about students. Really picky grader: notebooks exact, essay answers must contain every vocab word lectured about the topic, write-ups exact and thoroughly analyzed. She gives every opportunity to get an A though. I got a high B, but I could've gotten an A if I actually studied. She's a really good teacher all around.

If you like highly structured courses, this is the class for you! Ms. Brannon is like a machine - think 7 of 9 from Star Trek. She is a great teacher, but be prepared for excruciating labs and the most complex systems thrown at you at 8 am!

She's a great teacher and explains things very thoroughly, and often gives you all the tools you will need on the tests. They are hard, but if you pay attention they are much easier. The only criticism I have is that when asking for help outside of class she tends to repeat the same stuff over, nothing new that might help explain it better.
