Professor Aramaki is a good teacher. Lectures are very informative and her slides are very detailed. You can also get them all through Moodle. The readings were pretty interesting, and her midterm wasn't too hard. No Final exam, just an essay. And she really goes out of her way to help you pass!

Not very good at all. Constant spelling mistakes, forgot keywords in questions for the exam, speaks in a monotone voice for 2hours straight with no break. Powerpoint slides are full of text and can reach up to 50 slides per class. Skips a lot of information to get to the end of the powerpoint. Feels like there is no structure what so ever.

Michiko is a super sweet woman, passionate about her stuff but really not a good teacher. Her lectures are like one long ramble, you can't tell whats important and leave feeling like you haven't learned anything. She tries to facilitate discussion but not well. Did very poorly in this class but don't feel it was my fault.

She is an amazing prof and eager to teach. She does assign lots of readings, but you can definitely get away with skipping a few. Class participation and note taking matter a lot and are necessary for a good grade. She is a great human and a fantastic teacher.

Please, please do yourself a favour and avoid this teacher if you can. She is extremely unclear. Her lectures (at this for this topic) are super boring. There is a lottt of work (we basically had an assignment every week). She is also a really tough grader who believes that you have to be perfect to get an A!

Michiko is an amazing professor, one of the best I've had at Concordia! She gives great feedback and if you ask for help is more than willing to lend you a hand. Her lectures are confusing at times, but always interesting and insightful. She asks a lot from her students but it's because she thinks highly of them and wants them to think critically.

She is such a sweet teacher. She answers emails incredibly fast and is very respectful and pleasant. you can tell she really cares about her students. However, her assignments are so unclear. The class never new what she wanted, especially the smaller assignments and exams.

I've taken Michiko 3 times for WSDB classes. She assigns a LOT of readings, but goes over all the key points in class, so you can skip a few and still get by. She provides super specific study topics/example questions, which is great, and is enthusiastic as heck about teaching. Tough marker, but if you study, she'll really reward you.

I gave her the benefit of the doubt for a long time, and will be doing my best to avoid her in the future. Unbelievably unclear, and rigid. She expects way more out of you than she actually puts into her own lectures. She can't structure a coherent sentence to save her life, but expects you to be concise to a fault in all your work.

They are incredibly helpful. Michiko always gives feedback, even willing to review your work for more intensive notes. Do all the little assignments, they'll save you in the end, and the exam can more than difficult if you don't read the assigned chapters.

Terrible prof! Never clear in her lectures, goes off topic very often, doesn't use power points just talks for 3 hours. If you want to pass you need to teach yourself. Do not take her you will definitely regret it...

She's very nice and helpful when you go to her office hours, but so unclear when she explains assignments in classe, and will give you a bad mark if you don't do exactly what she expects. My advice: go see her as much as you can, ask for further explanation and don't try to be original, do what she asks.

I LIKED THIS PROF BUT DURING THE LECTURES SHE SPEAKS ROBOTICALLY AND SOFT. WHEN IT CAME TO LECTURES SHE EXPLAINED A LOT OF THINGS BUT DOES NOT GET TO THE POINT FAST ENOUGH, HONESTLY SHE SEEMED A BIT LOST. DUE TO POOR TIME MANAGEMENT WE NEEDED UP BEHIND AND THE ASSIGNMENTS AND EXAMS ARE PRETTY TOUGH FOR A 200 LEVEL CLASS... NEVER AGAIN

lovely person and is clearly very passionate about her work. She is unclear about assignments, grading schemes, does not provide feedback and also rambles on during lectures. GO TO ALL CLASSES + if you see her at least 3 times throughout the semester and clarify about class material, she WILL remember u and give you a B or higher. I got A-!

michiko is a super nice person, and she does a good job of stimulating class discussions and listening to students. however, i found her lecture style and way of connecting the readings to the lectures incredibly confusing. she also leaves her assignments very open-endedvague so it's difficult to guess what she's looking for.

Not a particularly good teacher: Very nice and helpful,in fact extremely so. However, her english is lacking and she tends to ramble/speak very softly. As long as you invest in porsonnal study, you'll get a B or higher.
