Ramirez is a really good guy and is super passionate about econ. I wouldn't take his class unless you know you are interested in econ/ being an econ major. It's hard, and you have to put a lot of time into it. If you aren't willing to work hard or in econ I wouldn't take this class. Otherwise, I would recommend the challenge, you will learn a lot.

This was a really challenging class. Weekly quizzes which are hard if you havent done the reading. The tests are really hard, I got a 77 on the midterm and he said that was really good. If you attend every class he will reward you. Hes a really passionate teacher and enjoys his work greatly.

I don't usually count on this site to judge a professor. But Ramirez fits all comments. He is one of the best. It is difficult to get an A but if you work hard he'll reward you and you learn tons! challenging class but very useful in research and graduate schools.

Alright, he is a nice guy who know his stuff. BUT he goes incredibly fast and is very un-approachable. He also likes to change languages mid-lecture. I didn't miss a class and took good notes but often felt like I had no idea what was going on. Knows too much about econ to be teaching a 101 class, should only teach upper-level. Nice guy, very tough
