Comment:

Avoid this class at all costs. Professor Craiovenau does not care at all about his students and will not accept absences for sports or doctor notes. He grades hard on assignments and does not give you a week notices for exams. He talks for the full hour and 20 minutes of class too.

Rambles for all 80 minutes of class. He is a tough grader on papers and does not give you above an 87 on anything unless you "do something excellent to deserve better". Can be quite rude and makes flippant comments towards students that are inappropriate for a professor to say. Would not recommend.

This professor is definitely challenging for a music 101 class as he expects students to know so much about music. The entire class is a lecture, so if you can't sit for long don't take this class. If you are willing to put in effort this class is fine, but definitely don't take this if you are looking for an easy A.

This is one of the worst professors at Hope College. He is rude, demeaning, standoffish and uncaring towards his students. His classes are tough and he does not over constructive feedback. Avoid taking anything with this professor at all costs.

Professor Craioveanu was a nice guy and if you play an instrument and ar into music, you might really like him, However, if you don't know much about music and don't care for classical, it might be hard for you to relate to him or even stay awake in his class. It's long and it definitely feels that way. He is a tough grader on his concert reports.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! He is terrible. He has no idea how to make tests, and when he makes them they are so confusing and makes no sense. He grads ridiculously and takes joy in taking random points off papers. So Rude.

Probably the worst professor I've ever had. He is not clear at all and doesn't give any feedback. He simply slaps a grade on your paper without explaining why. When you try to ask him, he doesn't communicate at all. He simply doesn't seem to care about his students. Definitely would not take this class again.

I did not like this professor he was not helpful in any way. I play hockey and approached him with a permission sheet saying that I will miss a few days of school for the sport and he would not accept it. He is also hard to understand during class. Overall, I hated that class.

really easy class as long as you show up and turn in your papers. and by papers i mean page and a half reflections of what took place in class. it's a really easy A for fine arts credit. i'd recommend it.

He used to be the viola professor and he always just gave us the copies of music from previous students. Never worked on tone production or quality. A terrible professor...too bad he still teaches violin there.

I love Mihai. I think he is a very gifted violin player and he cares a lot about his students. He has helped me grow a lot as a violin player. I definitely recommend him.

He's a funny guy. Really willing to be helpful to everyone but the students. He really likes classes unless they're his own, and he likes to grade papers. I liked him as a teacher, and I think people would do well in this class.

It seems as though he doesn't really try as hard as he could. He doesn't answer questions well and I leave my lessons confused and bored. He goes off on a lot of tangents...seems like we talk more than we play.
