Hardest class I have ever taken. The midterm was very difficult, and had a sub 50% average. He is knowledgable, but lectures/slides are extremely dense. Do yourself a favor and do all of the homework, review all quizzes, and read every slide carefully before Exams. Didn't do the latter, and missed a 24 point question directly from the notes.

Quizzes, midterm, and the class are honestly just fine, but the final is a whole other beast. Even if you read the book thoroughly you'll be wracking your brain for what feels like something you recall reading about once from a footnote and then just giving up and putting anything down.

This professor teaches in the driest fashion possible. There is about a 30-40% curve, so don't feel bad because most people don't learn anything from this class. Quizzes and tests are very hard so just try to get the average grade and you'll pass the class. You probably won't learn much so enjoy the struggle and try your best. Good luck!

The final is 40%, the only other grades are quizzes which you can't prepare for. He is a good teacher, but his grading policy leaves a lot to be desired. Class is very tough, there is a lot of material and its not made clear what is integral and what is additional. Gigantic curve though.

This dude is really nice, but his class is hard and he makes it pretty boring. This class is hard. He started giving quizzes this year. You could get by on the quizzes by paying attention, but the final will kick your butt if you are not studying outside of class. CRAZY hard projects that take tons of time. Good luck, my friends.

Learned very little. He's so boring an unenthusiastic, it's difficult to pay attention. His Nachos assignments are impossible if you don't have help. Nachos projects are also pointless. He is not good at visualizing the material, only talks about it. He's a soft spoken man though. Smart guy, unhelpful teacher.

He's knows his stuff for sure. Randomly gives impossible quizzes. Unfortunately, VERY boring teaching, totally uninteresting; your making me sleep man! More helpful if you ask him during the lecture than if you ask him personally, usually. We learn about useless algorithms we will probably never use. projects are useless. Ok guy, boring class. Meh.

Be prepared to ask questions. Reading the book is very essential to passing to go depth with concepts in class. He is willing to help his students as long as you ask questions and go to office hours.

Tough class. Be sure to read the material outside of class and do all of the homework. Averages on the midterms were in the 50s and the average on the final was a 38%. Tuceryan is fair, and there will likely be a curve. He does a good job teaching tough material. For CSCI 402 he is one of your best bets.

These tests are the hardest thing I have ever done. I'm higher up in the class, and I have about a 60%. Lectures are useless, we haven't been tested over what he talks about. Just read the book for 402.

People seem to think he's hard, but I got an A in the class. The tests are not blowoffs: if you don't understand the material, you can easily get less than 40%. However, he curves the class's score, so if you pay attention and ask questions when needed, you'll end up in the upper eschilon and get an A like I did.

Difficult course, but learned a LOT. Exam averages sometimes in 50s. 3 exams and 4 quizzes. Quizzes sometimes went beyond HW problems, but doing HW will definitely help, even though not collected. Prof easy to understand (no accent) and explains things slowly. Stops for questions often--ask if you don’t understand. Really wants students to learn.

Mihran is one of the professors I've had that made me decide to go to academia. He is incredibly smart but teaches in a way that is clear and makes sure everything is understood. He told me a story about building a calculator for a project when he was in school. They didn't get it done but he passed. You will feel this way, panic but it'll be ok

It's virtually impossible to dislike this guy; he's really a great teacher and very nice. The homework and tests are difficult, but curved in the end. The book used is alright; however, much of its material seems to be presented too ambiguously so as to maximize the number of questions they can ask about it at the end of each chapter.
