One of the worst, if not the worst, teachers I've had. Did not prepare me for transfer to a 4 yr school or to continue persuing a degree in psychology. Best not take a different opinion than his he doesn't much like that. Mostly taught his opinion on everything. Helps if you're pretty, young, and female.

Awesome techer, loved his class so intresting. Very helpful, go in his office and keep checking up on your grade he likes that! If you put out a little effort and go to class, you'll make an A. But SHOW UP TO CLASS. That is very important to him!

AMAZING teacher! He makes the class really fun and interesting. I knew nothing about psychology and he made it very easy to understand! You get a lot of points for just attending the class. He shows a lot of very interesting videos that will catch your interest. He is very blunt and will let you know his opinion I highly recommend this class!

I really hate rating him while I'm still in his class, but oh well. I'm not above getting browny points. HAHA. Was worried about taking his class. Had always heard that he had "a strange sense of humor?" Nope, not strange. Just very real and don't beat around the bush. It's nice to have a teacher speak to us like we're adults.

Awesome teacher. You get alot of points for not missing any days in the class. He uses the book for you to read and then rewrite about what you read the next day in class and that is where your points come from. During class he lectures out of his own knowledge and he knows alot. He is an awesome teacher and I would deff reccomend him.

I'm an old student of Arpin's and I currently hold an adjunct position in another state.Mike is a great instructor, you should appreciate him while you have the chance. I will never forget my time in his class. THose discussions made me a smarter person. Regardless of whether I agreed or disagreed with him. That's what college is about.

This professor is one of the few who really cares about the athletes in his class. He is honest with us/them and why they are often at CCC. Many of us/them are poor students and need to get "our act together" if we are ever going to have a future. Many teachers in our lives have just let us pass to get us through. And that IS why they/we are here.

In Southeast Kansas, Mike Arpin seems out of place. While the Bible Belt and stereotypical small town aura puts high walls around him, he seems to be one of the few instructors left on the face of the planet who removes himself from this bias and puts as much enthusiasm into his lesson plans as humanly possible--the way all humanities teachers should but don't. Two words to describe Arpin would be informed and animated. Critics of his methods are likely sheltered white women Republicans.

I enjoy the fact that he always covers both sides of an issue, and appreciates everyone's opinion. His open-mindedness makes his classes interesting and fun, and he is one of the best teachers I have ever had.

Arpin is a great teacher. He is very opinionated and that can get interesting at times. A lot of people think he's the anti-christ. I think they need to do less talking and more hearing of what he is trying to say. Only complaint is we get off the subject
