Honestly an amazing prof. Super sincere and caring towards his students. Very understanding and a little funny at times. No need to take notes or read much, as he emphasizes the important concepts you need to know to write the essays. The game tutorials and final projects were decently straightforward, remember to be creative! Overall great class

I loved attending Mike's lectures. He is the most encouraging professor I have ever had. We had class presentations for the two assignments and one paper review. He gave good feedback and complimented the good things about every student's presentation.

Fun and inspiring class! Clear timeline for the assignments. It is not a stressful course and the small class size gives you the opportunity to make friends.

He taught maybe 3 courses in total. The class is almost entirely taught the Felix scott. The few classes he did teach were boring and useless. He spent a lot of time going over some stats, then said they were outdated so they wouldn't be useful to us anyways.

Carbonaro was virtually never present. Felix did a good job of teaching the class but it is obvious the class is still in the building stage. The class could be important to future teachers but the lack of smart board instruction makes it irrelevant and Carbonaro never shows up anyways.

I only missed a couple classes, but I only ever had Dr Carbonaro teach 1 of the classes I went to. And that class was totally useless. The TA who taught the rest of the time was WAY more useful.

Dr. Carbonaro only came to the class a couple times the entire semester. He left most of the teaching to his TA. When Carbanaro taught, he droned on about useless things that had very little to do with the course. He seemed to focus more on how great he felt the research he was doing was, and didn't care about the class or students.

Does this guy even teach? I've only seen him a couple of times. I can't believe he gets paid. When he does show up to class he is ill prepared and focuses on irrelevant things. Be prepared for the stupid questions on the tests that have nothing to do with computers - examples from class that have nothing to do with anything. Awful professor.

I'm now a TA for this course, so I may be biased. He doesn't come to lectures, Felix teaches them. Felix tries and slips in geeky jokes to entertain. The topic isn't interesting unless u look past the lecture material and imagine the opportunities to take this into your future classroom. Using these resources,u CAN make your future career sucessful

I didn't actually see Dr. Carbonaro that often, Felix taught the class instead. Sometimes the material was redundant and repetitive (LEGO robots), but the test consisted of a lot of in class material, so it's best to attend, especially the guest lectures.

I am going to have to agree with the other users here. I don't think we ever saw Mike more than 4 times during the whole semester. The class was taught by Steven Scott instead. Class is easy but it really boring. Midterm/Final is easy if you attend all lectures and labs. One good thing about the night class, he let us leave early most of the time.

What a waste of my life and $500 to be in this mandatory, 5pm class. Read previous complaints they are all true, but he's our only choice. Test questions ridiculous such as: "at 5:47 on the day I wore my lucky sneakers, what analogy did I use for internet". The class right after the midterm he used 7 new analogies for various things. Rubbish!

Oh my goodness. Boring class. Mandatory, and boring. It's one great big commercial for educational products. And Dr. Carbonaro is off in the clouds and doesn't teach all the time.

WHAT AN AWFUL CLASS!!! Lectures were so boring you would want to hurt yourself just for a distraction. And the tests were RIDICULOUS! Who makes tests like that?! Not one useful topic or theme was covered on the tests. Instead it would ask for some small random detail such as "was this guest speakers shirt a) Red b) green c) grey".

it's exactly as the other comments say: the class was dreadfully dull, the tests consisted of random questions based mostly on attendance and not overall knowledge. bad sense of humor, not a great speaker. i felt like i lost brain cells going to that class.

The tests are totally ridiculous. Questions are asked that have nothing to do with anything other than your ability to remember unimportant details of the lectures. Learned some interesting things but overall the class was boring.
