Comment:

He presents himself as a kind and friendly professor. He does great at showing students respect. However, he acts differently when you interact with him outside of class. He is really flaky, not as friendly, and a bit unwelcoming. His lecture style can be a little dry. Class is very group work intensive.

He is a very nice man and is easy to talk to. His class is very confusing in regards to when assignments are do, and a lot of the time even he doesn't know. But he is very forgiving when it comes to late assignments. Should be an easy B+ with minimal work. Does grade on attendance.

Amazing teacher! probably my favorite professor I have had. The final project makes your grade, attendance is also very important. Gives you plenty of opportunities to do well and really cares about his students! any of his classes is a must take

Comment:

A couple short essays and two easy exams, but the monster group campaign project IS the class. Get to know your group and their skills well because the IMC is so involved that interdependent collaboration is the only way it can be done. Brings in guest judges that could open doors to your future career. Be smart & give it your all. REALLY worth it!

Comment:

Simply put, Mike, a.k.a. "Papa D", a.k.a. "Jammies", is a big, huggable teddy bear who also happens to be a dam-n fine professor. His London PR class was well organized and very rewarding. His wife accompanied him on the trip, and she was delightful. Take any class he teaches and you will walk away mentally enriched (and with a higher GPA).

Loved this class! Attendance is mandatory, daily attendance sheet every class period, counts for a good portion of ur grade. Midterm and final r really difficult but he does curve them. Your final group presentation in which you work on all semester & present infront of Advertising executives is your whole grade. Put all effort towards final pres.

I took his PR Trip to London - He really knows his stuff. He has so much experience in the PR sector and loves to share his knowledge with students. I was interested in PR before - Now, thanks to Prof. ****erson I love the feild. If you are a Comm major, Prof. ****erson's classes are a must!

As other users have said, ****erson does not follow the text. His TA was useless, as was he. During the group project, there was a member who did not do their work and he did nothing about it.

Dickerson does not teach from the book. His study guides do not match his tests and are completely unhelpful. His lectures do not prepare the students for the tests. He is extremely subjective in grading tests and projects.

Mr. Dickerson is a nice man. He doesn't like it when people arrive late or leave early, so be on time and don't leave early unless you really have to. Attendence is important. The class isn't hard at all. The exam questions can be tricky, but he gives out study guides. Take his class!! I got an "A"

Great professor. Easy "A." 2 tests, both hard but not worth much of your grade - most ppl don't do well on the exams. Entire semester spent working on an ad pitch w/ a group he puts u in the 1st day of class - the biggest portion of your grade. Takes attendance. Overall, great guy. I haven't met a person yet who hasn't enjoyed his class.

He is a great professor, just like the others said, very very laid back and just go to class occassionally and you'll do just FINE! I look forward to taking any class this man teaches because its one less class I have to worry about unlike others...Just do ur final project and if u fail the exams its okay cuz u still end up with a B or an A...

EASY A if you show up to class and do the group project. Exams are HARD and the study guide's worthless, but you can fail the exam and still get a good grade if you come to class He's friendly and usually pretty easy going, but not organized. Judges for group project are a waste of time.

I haven't taken a class with him yet, but I went to him for advising and he was wonderful!! He's SO nice and I really, really, really like him. He was so helpful. Very nice guy and I can't wait to take a class by him!
