Comment:
This class caused unnecessary stress where I felt like not much was actually taught. Was looking forward to learn about the economics of sports but left disappointed. No grading scale, no class schedule until week 7, and hardily explained projects. Recommend you take this course with another professor. Also, he's a funny guy I guess.

Mike is a hilarious guy, and he's much more fun than the average prof. However, he likes to lecture a lot, and usually, his lectures are pretty unclear. He never posts grades, so you never truly know where you stand in the class. The one positive is that he curves like crazy, but this can still make trying to figure out your final grade impossible.

He is a really good person and has fun lectures, but not a great professor. His lectures are not always clear and everyone is usually confused. You have a quiz about every other class period or at least once a week. GO into office hours, he will help you if you are struggling. Tests aren't bad typically but there are trick questions.

I had him for one of my economic classes and he's a good dude and all but his grading pisses me off. He has no rubrics for any of the papers he has you write, if you don't write what he wants you to you get docked a huge number of points, and his grading is way harder than it should be. You'll spend the entire semester wondering why you lost points

He is hilarious to listen to in class and does a great job of giving a lot of examples. I took Macroeconomics before this class which made this class somewhat easier. He is sometimes confusing on quizzes and tests but the class is graded on a curve so that helps.

Really funny professor and really knowledgable about the subject that he teaches. In this class, he used a lot of research and data to teach and I found that to be very interesting. He keeps lectures interesting and keeps you on your toes. He puts a lot of weight into the papers, but is a pretty fair grader in my eyes.

He's a cool and funny guy, but I've found that reading every module in the book won't get me the grade I'm trying for. He does curve, but there is a reason for that. He puts a lot of random concepts on tests and quizzes that he hasn't ever gone over which makes the class difficult to understand since he does things his own way and not with the book

online class. More often than not, there will be questions on the HW that are NOWHERE to be found in the powerpoints he gives us for the lesson. He never explains why you're wrong, just takes points off. He also takes a while to respond to questions and often isn't clear with his responses. Don't recommend. Maybe he is better in person though.

Pr. Haupert is a really funny guy, he makes class enjoyable and takes it slow. He gives out a decent amount of homework and the tests are somewhat challenging but if you keep up with reading and pay attention in class you'll do fine. I do not think he deserves the low grade people are giving him.

He was a funny professor to have in class, but he is not suited to be a professor in this generation. He relies too much on memorization, and doesn't give good resources to help with studying. He is a very tough grader, and is extremely nit-picky on grammar. My english professors didn't even grade as hard as him on grammar. I don't recommend him.

He is enthusiastic about what he teaches and is willing to help students with questions. If you got a slash on your assignments and don't understand why "Ask and you shall receive" simple as that.

Not the best teacher I've had. He has so many pop quizzes on content he barely taught. Also, he doesn't correct homework, he just puts a slash through it if it's wrong but doesn't explain why. He also picks on students and reeks of arrogance. The class is curved, which is good because the average would be around 65%. He's hilarious though.

Pros: Attendance is not mandatory, grades on a curve, has practice exams to work on Cons: Arrogant, Unclear, Throws tick questions on exams, doesn't really seem to care about his students. Don't take him is that is possible. If you can't best of luck to you and get ready to spend some time with the economics tutors.

Tough professor. Not clear. Many quizzes were given before he covered material. Doesn't cover concepts as much as I had expected, instead we did math problems. Tests hardly similar to practice exams he provides, I suggest looking at section objectives for tests. Curves the entire class grade, so that was a little helpful. Extra credit are ?s random

I enjoyed going to class just to see what antics he would do that day. Lectures are interesting but not as clear as they could be. Tests are difficult and go above and beyond what is covered in lecture to cover full understanding.

This class is incredibly confusing and I even took Macroeconomics before this class. He is extremely unhelpful and when I ask questions he does not answer them directly. There is a lot of group work and extra credit because everyone does so badly on the tests and quizzes. I would never take a class he teaches.

DO NOT TAKE. Haupert is horrible, arrogant, and obnoxious. He teaches you one thing in class then tests you on things he's never gone over. He gives random EXTREMELY HARD quizzes on topics you've never even learned & the exams are absolutely impossible. Good luck passing this class
