Despite some of the reviews you may see on this website, Ron Spangler is the greatest acting teacher i've ever had. He'll kick your ass and let you know when you're not doing your best work. His attendance policy makes no sense. One absence and he takes 3 points off your final grade and every absence after, but yet he never attends class? His grading overall is TERRIBLE. Way too tough on writing, and he seems like a very rude man. He maybe very knowledgable but not in the realm of understanding.

I loved all of Ron's classes. He definitely makes you work for your grade. If he sees you putting in the effort, he will bend over backwards for you. He's tough because he's passionate about Theatre and takes it very seriously and if you take it thinking its an easy GenED, you're wrong. He expects you to work as hard as he does - which is very hard

Ron is an amazing teacher. Some say he is rude, but its different, its a toughness that is refreshing and extremly helpful as an Actor. He really pushes you to find your chracter and to portray them honestly and without looking like a tool. I LOVE RON SPANGLER!!

As a theater major, I'd have to say Ron is one of the best teachers in the department, if not the best in the department. He is experienced and tries to help as well as anyone can. If you have questions about theater, Ron is the man to ask. He has a tendency to be repetetive in his classes, though.

Ron is a very knowedgeable man. However, he expected each student to know a lot about theater and I do not think that is the best method to teach an intro class. I had some very heated arguments with him, he's very closed minded to his ideas only.
