Professor Kelley gives great lectures, he is passionate and knowledgeable. He will crack a ton of corny jokes and in the beginning they might be a bit nauseating but at the end of the semester there are no doubts that you will look forward to attending his class. ALSO A SIDE NOTE: the study guides he gives are verbatim what is on the tests STUDY UP

Professor Kelly is a good teacher. He's clearly very passionate about what he teaches, but he almost always manages to keep his lectures under an hour. The labs and tests are a bit tough, but it's not too bad.

Great guy and fun professor! He is very good at what he teaches. Lots of lectures, but he makes them as interesting as he can. Very laid back but helpful when you need him. I'd definitely recommend him!

Kelley is a caring professor and obvious weather genius (fanatic, really), but the class itself is difficult if you don't put the effort in. It's not so much tests, but the labs that are challenging. They don't have a lot of instruction, so you're constantly asking for help. There are also a lot of them so you can't really afford to skip class.

Really funny guy. Loves what he does. Makes class super fun. This is the best class to take if you need a lab, really a blow off and he is a laid back fun professor.

Get ready for puns. The class, in general, is easy but he explains things in detail if you do not understand. His exams are pretty easy if you study for them. There are labs every week and some are really long but for the most part, they are easy points. For the weather journal, I suggest doing a large city rather a hick town so you'll have data.

Mr. Kelley is a very nice person who absolutely loves the material he is teaching. Nothing in his class is difficult if you put some effort into it. It was, for me, an easy-A; but also an informative one. Homework is easy, map quizzes are easy ... the only thing you really have to worry about are the exams. Take good notes to study and you'll pass.

He is easily the funniest and best professor i have ever had! He's super nice and funny and as long as you do the work and study it's super easy to do well in his class. I'd take literally any class as long as i had a professor like him

Mike Kelley is the king of puns. It kept the mood light throughout the class. He tests from his lectures and a very helpful review outline. There are a number of tests, weekly paper labs, and one weather journal. The material is not easy, but Mike makes it approachable.

He is very nice and very funny. Makes a lot of weather puns that make you laugh. He explains things very well. Easy A if you study for the tests. Labs are pretty easy as well. He doesn't lecture for long, class never went the full length. Final weather project was very easy also. Never used the book.

Mike Kelley is hands down, hilarious. Sometimes the lectures get long but he's so into what he is teaching and very passionate about it. He gives study guides before the test and as long as you review it there's no reason you can't get an A in the class. I would definitely recommend to anyone! Would not buy the book, you won't use it

Prof. Kelley is a great teacher. He gives out weekly labs and he lectures with a powerpoint. They are easy to follow along with. There is no homework and he lets out early. The tests are tough if you don't study. Wait until you get to class before you buy the book-he puts everything on eagle so you may not need it. Weekly map quizzes.

Kelley is a great teacher. His lectures are fun and easy to follow with his power point presentations. He makes a lot of bad puns which are fun. Tests are easy. No quizzes in my class just a weekly lab which he will help you with.

one of my fav profs! he's really funny, really knows how to keep your attention. easy simple weekly quizes, powerpointnotes lectures, tells you what's on the test. half the time he dismissed class early, and also made himself available for questions after class. overall it's a pretty simple smooth class. if you take pge take him!

Comment:

He's probably the best teacher I've had at RVC, and I've had maybe 10 so far. He's great at keeping the students' attention, doesn't give heaps of homework and is very helpful if you're stuck on something. He's lenient on late work to a reasonable degree. The few negative things I could say about this teacher are insignificant. Would take again.

Kelley is very knowledgeable and makes a lot of jokes to lighten up the class. He often times cuts off class 15 minutes early because he understands how boring it can be to sit in on a lecture for an hour. He gives one map quiz per week and they're easy as long as you study. His tests are long but easy because he tells you what's on them.

Comment:

Makes the class very interesting, a lab almost every week. Go in this class expecting many weather puns. He is a great teacher and tests are not too difficult. Most of the test material will come from notes in class. PowerPoints are online if you miss a day or missed something. Very helpful most of the time.
