Professor Mallowe expects you to work for your grade. An A+ was easy in his class if you read the text, understand it and think about how this information affects you and your life. If you put minimal effort in, you get minimal results. Not a class you can screw off in, do the work and you'll do well.

Great teacher overall. Very easy as in what is expected of you for grading criteria. Can appear intimidating at first, but is genuinely a nice person. He can be outspoken at times during speeches, but he does so in the degree of positive criticism. He lets you retake speeches for a better grade as well! Highly recommended during summer semester.

Told us on the first day of class that he would like to give us all C's. That C's are very good, and that if we show up, and do a good job, we'll receive a C. Also told us he rarely gives B's, and A's don't exist because if we need to take the class, we need to be here, and cannot receive an A. I would not recommend.

I had this professor about 10 years ago at Cabrini when I was trying to finish a degree started in the 80s. He taught an upper division non-fiction writing course. As founder and editor of Philly Magazine for 20 years Mr. Mallowe knew more about non-fiction writing than most anyone on the planet. He was plain awesome, and I got a A (rare for me)

Always had something good to say about everybody. Always treated the class with respect and had the ability to talk to the class, not down to us. Couldn't recommend him enough.

I took him over winter break and it was like one of the best classes I ever had. He is awesome- so helpful and so nice. He even threw us a little pizza party the last night of class. cute! Class was interesting and he grades easy!

My experience in Mr. Mallowe's class was an excellent one. He taught me a great deal about myself and pointed me in a career direction that is right for me. He knows his stuff and is very kind. He really prepares you for the real world.

Didn't hand back any papers or graded work all semester, so we had no idea how we were doing in the class. I ended up with a C and I have no idea why, and when I emailed him to ask, he never wrote back. I hate him, don't ever take his classes.
