Comment:
Mike McCullough's class doesn't really have lectures -- everybody hates lectures, and doesn't really learn anything from them -- and is based on discussion. I actually learn stuff in here. I also love that he isn't strict. He doesn't slap you on the proverbial wrists for talking to another student or having a device out. I actually learned stuff

His classes are mainly discussions. Sometimes they are very interesting, other times they are SUPER boring. You definitely need to pay attention and take notes over what he talks about because they will be on his tests, which are really hard. If you like to participate in discussions, you're gonna love him.

Dr. McCullough incorporates current social topics into course content to provide students with a broader perspective of how our business decisions influence society as a whole. There is a lot of work in this course, but if you put forth the effort then you'll make an A... and learn a whole lot at the same time.

Really loved the curriculum of this course. We did not have to purchase a text book... instead Dr. McCullough found ways to incorporate relevant and interesting content into the trainings. This probably takes more work for him, but it made the class so much more interesting.

Attendance is expected and plays into your grade. Participation matters a lot to your final grade. His essay assignments that count as test are very broad topics but if you don't nail what he wants you get a mediocre grade. He is very psych minded so his class was very theoretical when being taught. His lectures were boring as hell too. Don't take.

I would take him again. His tests are tough and for the first couple of classes, you might be a little confused because it takes a little bit to understand his teaching, but he makes things so interesting and relatable. His class is strictly discussion but that's what I appreciate about this class. You have to participate to understand the material

This class is a joke. We learned nothing in class. He rambles on about things without giving accurate explanations and having no textbook makes learning even harder with him. I refuse to take another class with this guy.

Comment:
Avoid this professor. He's really smart and a nice guy, but he's way out there and his concepts and theories are confusing. He also gives a short essay question with every test, but his standards are borderline outlandish. He also uses no textbook, and he makes all of his powerpoints with 5 words per slide and then randomly rambles during lectures.

I took this course one summer. If you are looking for a course with some professor that'll give you a bunch of powerpoints you can ignore & then cram mindless facts last minute then turn around & go back to another teacher. You have to listen and pay attention! Participate, pay attention, and you'l be fine.I did that & made an A.

This was one of the worst teachers I've ever had. He got into a fight with a student during class, and got angry with me for asking a question about the upcoming test. He is very hard to follow during his lectures. His power points are useless. Avoid him at all costs!!!

Dr. McCullough is a professor you will only appreciate after some time after you graduate. The way he lectures is indeed a bit odd, but it is so very effective- it just takes a while to realize it. His lessons are still with me as I make decisions at work. He doesn't teach facts, per se, he teaches IDEAS and perhaps philosophies. Fantastic!!!

He is a very nice man, but his lectures are all over the place and hard to follow. You won't have to buy the book, he just uses powerpoints. A midterm & final which was one one question you had to answer in 1200 words and a group project. Those were the only grades!

This class is very hard to follow...he's all about "ideas" instead of facts and figures. Discussions get very vague and it can be hard to figure out what the point of it is...Not necessarily a "hard" class, but certainly not a joke. His exams are take-home and he gives a vague prompt that require you to have to gone to class...

The class discussions were absolutely useless. Abstract crap. This class time could have been used doing something else useful in business like learning to do financial modeling and valuation. But No! He doesnt even understand economics and hes an MBA professor. He said he thinks minimum wage should be 20.00 per hr. Min wage increase hurts everybody

This professor is not for everyone he has a very unique teaching style... if you do not like to participate in class do not take him...the tests are 2 questions and you have to write 50 words for each question....during the summer we did not have a book we had a blog that we had to read...over all he is an interesting proffesor

Very unclear regarding expectations. You are ranked according to your participation on blackboard. It is very difficult to compete with grad students, when you work a full time job. Did not appreciate the busy work, did not appreciate the abstract discussions that taught me nothing about management.
