This man is ready to teach you the theory of the universe in easily digestible one hour chunks. Afterwords he would take you to Jumping Joes for getting that easy A. Best teacher in the college scene right now. Don't go to Highland for cost or convenience, go for Mihina.

Great teacher. derives everything in class and derives anything that you ask him to derive. Gives some days off and get to get out of class early most of the time. Almost no homework and is not worth that much of the grade. Tests match examples done in class. true false questions and questions that are a bit out of the box are the hardest questions

Had him for Calc I & II, very knowledgeable of material and makes class interesting. IF you don't study you won't do well. Very fond of those who speak up in class. Helpful if you ask questions. Offers class time to work on homework in groups of choice.

Attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't get notes/ turn things in you won't do well. If you have borderline grade @ end of class he'll bump up if good attendance. I used the textbook once. Recommend taking pics of someone else's for assign. to save $. Keeps class interesting & fun, will help if you ask. Enjoyed the class!

Mr. Mihina is easily one of my favorite professors at Highland! He's a got a great sense of humor, and even let us go for pizza during a class period! Before each test, he does a very helpful review. As far as grades go, he does do 90% for tests and 10% for homework. There is also a bit of homework, but it's usually due the next week.

I had him for calc I and I am now taking him for calc II, this is the best math professor I have ever had. He is great at making sure that everyone understands the material. I thought calculus was going to be hard at the college level, but with him it was rather easy. Make sure to show you show up to class every day.

He is literally the best teacher at HCC. He is hilarious and makes the lesson very easy to understand. I took Calc I and II with him and they were my favorite classes. He makes everything interesting and clear. I have never met anyone that doesn't love him or felt they learned from him.

I've always struggled with math and have never gotten higher than a C. He made class really interesting, and explained things more clearly than any other teacher I've had! Definitely recommend him for anyone worried about higher level math courses.
