I thought he was a great prof. He has a passion for what he teaches and tries his best to make it interesting to us, although some classes were somewhat boring. I've done well in all his courses and would probably consider any other courses he's teaching.

Does not like his students. He made the final exam ridiculously hard, didn't give a good review (purposely leaving things out that were on the exam), and told us only PART of the exam outline yet told us it was the full exam. He even said he'd make the final exam really hard to get the marks lower, in the 60% range. Awful time.

A great prof that is easy to get along with and always willing to help. Good source for biogeographical information. His courses always teach you a lot if you are willing to learn and do supplementary research on your own. Will get into good discussions if you have intelligent questions. One of the best prof's I've had.

AMAZING class, he is a REALLY interesting, fun, and engaging proff, and this course is GREAT! it is all about physical geography and you learn a LOT> he has GREAT notes, and his classes are amusing and go by very quickly. His tests, assignments, and exams are fair. AS people said, if you study your notes you will do well and learn a lot.

Good prof. Notes are well structured, easy to understand and follow. His tests are fair, if you study the notes you get a good mark, no surprises. And his TA's Rick and Pascale are awesome, best TA I ever had in uni.

Dr. Smiths half of the course was so simple - alot like highschool. Dr Pisaric's half was alot more difficult but way more interesting! I learned so much. It is a difficult class but if you work hard you should do fine. You will learn alot tho.

Mike is an awesome prof, he is always willing to help both in and outside of class. A bonus is his two awesome TA's- Pascal and Rick!! They are wicked! Mike's classes are all fairly interesting altho his exams (mostly m/c) are difficult! Study hard and you will enjoy his classes!

I adored the pictures of him with his shirt off, it was a good reason to come to class. Midterm was too hard for what he actually taught us. the TAs didnt seem like they were interested in physical geography. Derek Smith was way better.
