I didn't enjoy prophet at first because of how much he jumped around during lecture. But he really grew on me in the end. He's awesome. Homework is optional but do it anyway because if you don't you won't do well. Tests are pretty hard but you should be fine if you do the homework and listen in class. Don't be like me and miss class. I got a D.

Prophet is one of the best! He gives incredible lectures and explains everything very well. His tests and quizzes are very fair, and he is not a tough grader. Also, he is very funny, and I often find myself laughing during his lectures. I highly recommend taking a class with Prophet.

He is the most confusing professor I have ever had. He calls the EQUATION a RECIPE and acts as if he is a math dictionary. He does a terrible job of explaining problems and has continuously messed up simple problems and has not caught himself. Many of my classmates fail his tests when this should be an easy class I would NEVER take him again.

Crazy good professor. Had him for Calc 3 and would take him for any other math class in a heartbeat. Quizzes accurately depict test material, homework is optional but helps. I didn't bother to do it and got a C on the first test, did some and aced the rest. Quizzes can only help you, study them and you will do fine. Great professor, great guy.

He's notes on the board are really confusing, he jumps around a lot. Will often start an example problem and not finish it. Not the worst math professor I've ever had but he could definitely be more clear.

Dr. Prophet's greatest asset is how he relates to his students. He is down to earth, approachable, and competent with his instruction skills. He does all of this while being well-versed and scarily intelligent in mathematics. He is the ONLY prof you should take calc 3 with. He has a lot of experience doing it and has gotten quite good at it.

Dr Prophet's class is tough and you have to be prepared to put in some effort. However he has a great sense of humor and tries to make the lectures less dry which helps. He explains things fast but thoroughly. If you need help he is always very flexible and actually cares about how his students do in his class which is sometimes hard to find. N

Dr. Prophet was a good math professor overall. His tests did not match the homework given at first, but he worked to change that. Every time that I had a problem or a suggestion, Dr. Prophet took it into consideration. He is one of the better math proffesors at UNI.

He was awful. Taught through the textbook BACKWARDS. If you've taken a calc class in high school and want to take it for college credit... DO NOT TAKE WITH HIM. He will confuse the living daylights outta you.

He's a GREAT teacher! I hadn't taken calculus before but it was pretty easy to understand. He doesn't assign much homework, but it helps to do the practice problems. He leaves the answer manual in the library to check your work. 4 tests- the 4th one is a non-cumulative final.

I've been really impressed because he learns everyones name and stops to ask for questions often. It's up to the students to come to him with questions so being quiet in his class isn't helpful. I like him because he expects his students to attend and study, and keeps the homework fairly minimal. Leaves the solution manual in library for anyone.

Looking at him, you'd never guess that this guy is a math professor. He seems way too good looking... like an actor playing a math professor good looks. Well, it turns out he is a darn good teacher. He gets the class involved and makes sure everyone is caught up. Pace can be a bit fast at times, but he covers the material well and is understanding.

I had to withdrawl after a month, like many others, due to the impossible nature of this class. If you have never taken calc before, do not take it with Dr. Prophet. I'm not the most mathematicaly competant person, but this guy is not the one who will change that if it's true for you too. Get ready to study if you do take it with him.

Interesting man, but funny. Must attend class for daily notes he gives, which completely explain everything you need to know. Tests are easy with minimal studying. Easy quizzes often. I would highly recommend taking this professor if you are just willing to come to class and pay attention.

He teaches the material then does a lot of example problems to make sure you know what to do. he has a quiz about every other week and homework problems too. homework & quizzes count for very little of your grade and he only puts them in if it will help your grade. tests are sort of tough but he gives your a study guide for each. good teacher

Funny and approachable. Doesn't try to trick you on tests- ques are just like assignments so make sure you do them. The book is awful, and he goes through a lot that isn't in the book, so if you need to read it to remember it like I do, then find another Calc book as a reference. Overall, the class was much easier than Calc II.

Excellent professor, very dry sense of humor. His class inspired me to change majors to a mathematics major, and I'm loving every second of it. HIGHLY recommend taking his class.
