Great guy, however his lectures are incredibly dry and feel a little pointless. His homework included reading & analyzing a section of the reading the night before class (easy enough) but no one did as the entire lecture the next day involved him reading the text aloud to the class - required 0 participation & 0 analysis. Easy papers, easy A.

This was the most useless upper-level English I have ever taken. Did nothing but sit there and read the plays or watch them. We had 2 papers and a take home final that were randomly graded without giving clear direction on expectations. He takes attendance some days and some days he doesn't. I hated this class on so many levels. So boring.

Very good and caring professor. His class is not very difficult but you can gain very good writing techniques if you actually pay attention during his classes. Look no further, take this professor!

Funny guy who makes class enjoyable. The midterm and final exam were in take-home format, so that could come in handy for those who didn't read the plays. Essay topics are easy to follow and he gives good written feedback on essays. Doesn't take attendance everyday, so you can skip some days without being penalized. Just a game of luck though.

Dr. Wentworth is an amazing professor. I took 3 courses with him, 390 being the first. If I could of I would of taken all my English classes with him! He is a great teacher and is very enthusiastic when he lectures. His grading is all based on paper, no tests/quizzes. Which I loved because I enjoy writing. He was the best English teacher I had

Wentworth is a 10/10. So funny, so witting, so GREAT! With this being a Shakespeare class, the subject can be a little intimidating; BUT, Wentworth makes the plays come to life with his one-man shows lol. 2 papers 2 exams. Gives great feedback on papers. You HAVE TO READ is you want to do well on the exams. Other than that, extremely generous.

Easiest class of my life. You read a couple pretty cool short story collections but don't even really need them. Every class he doesn't explore the content, he just reads to us and tells us as much about the story/author that we could get from the wikipedia page. Almost no assignments.

Easiest class of my life. We were given challenging, and frankly great, readings but he ended up just printing out each reading from the textbooks and giving them to us. Every class he doesn't explore the content, he just reads to us and tells us as much about the story/author that we could get from the wikipedia page. Almost no assignments.

Dr. Wentworth was an extremely fun professor to have! Loved him. He was so understanding and would let you get extra time if needed. His lectures are boring and you get take home quizzes, but the quizzes are easy af. Your grade is 3 essays and your quiz grades-- 25% each.

Show up and get an A, only work is quizzes which you will be aloud to take home every week, very easy. Lectures can be really boring as he just re-reads the stories you can read at home.

Wentworth is probably the greatest English teacher I've ever had. There's a reason this guy has a scholarship named after him, and it's not because he's the one that donated the money. All he wants you to do is read the texts and engage with him in class--neither of which is hard at all. Expect take-home quizzes, but they'll take 10 min tops to do.

He is an awesome teacher! We only had three papers due the whole entire semester. Quite a few of take home quizzes but other than that it was pretty simple. I even enjoyed showing up to his classes! Short and easy.

In British Literature, we had quite a few take home quizzes based on readings we still had to reference (super easy), and we only had like three papers for the entire semester. Honestly, the reading choices weren't bad either. I was dreading having to take Brit Lit pre 1800, but I really enjoyed it because of him!

So here's the thing, Wentworth's class is super easy. Like show up easy. He's ADORABLE, rides his bike everywhere, basically the cutest little old guy ever but he's got a 6 year old son. He's got no time to worry about giving 30 tests and a bazillion essays. Do your best, show up, and get a free A.

I took this because I needed a writing intensive credit, this is so far from that. We only have 2 papers in the whole semester and they are only like 3-4 pages double space. He also started off by telling us we had a lot of quizzes but they are all take home. I'd highly recommend this class

Prof Wentworth is legendary in the English dept - really engaging and funny, and he likes to go off on really amusing tangents. Assignments were pretty frequent but short, and his feedback was always an entire page of writing. Sucked that the lectures were three 50mins instead of one or two longer ones, but it worked. Definitely a memorable guy!

Wentworth is one of the most bizarre professors I've ever had. He is hilarious and definitely makes class interesting enough when it would be boring otherwise. He assigns take home quizzes which are very easy, and he basically reads everything assigned out loud in class word for word. There are 2 papers, and then a final paper. Easy A.

I'm not a fan of English courses but as a creative writing major I'm required to take them. Dr. Wentworth was able to make class entertaining, a reason I took four classes with him. He gives some take-home quizzes with extra credits, and on average, three essays, which he gives you multiple possible topics you can write on. I recommend taking him.
