To be fair, everyone else on here seems to like him so it may have just been my experience. His teaching style did not work with me. I don't appreciate when teachers pull up their website and read straight off it. Examples weren't helpful, information was hard to comprehend. It's hard enough without making it harder.

Excellent teacher. Explains the concepts of Statistics without actually using a lot of Statistics. Very clear and concise. Has obviously worked very hard on putting together his lectures well. Tests are hard; the answers take a lot of consideration. All short essay/written answer questions. Very good about getting back to students quickly.

This class is not easy. Attendance is not mandatory but you better show up, take notes, ask questions, and pay attention. If you do these things you will be fine..its recommended and I agree that you should take your stats first, it will make more sense.Homework is long as tests are thorough, so be prepared.

You have to work in this class, but it's well worth it. This professor teaches in a style very conducive to learning. You can tell that the professor thought about what works and what doesn't when putting together his syllabus; the class is put together perfectly.

Good teacher. Hoard test, but if you study and do the homework then you will do well. homework is from old test questions so it really helps you prepare.

Hard, hard tests. All essay/short answer. Homework assignments are due the same day as test & are also hard, but at least you have notes & books to use. I think it is hard to figure out how to use research without practice and feedback in class. Group discussion/assignments are good, but not enough. If you don't love research, skip him as a teacher

His style does not encourage asking questions. Very clipped response when you do. A previous 3.8 gpa psych major, his tests are not that easy as people would lead you to believe. His grading method leaves something to be desired as well. Very, very smart guy, tho. I don't think teaching suits him.

Excellent teacher. Very smart. I really enjoyed his dry sense of humor--he cracked me up almost every week! I got an A because I studied his notes and did the homework and never missed a class.

Really clear teaching method, is always avaliable for clarification. Tests aren't too hard if you know the material (no trick questions). Makes a required class less boring :) Not a lot of emphasis on statistical calculations.

He's definately a very good teacher. He makes everything easy to understand and also interesting. He seems like a nice guy, and is very approachable. He uses a lot of real research studies as examples so it isn't boring if you're interested in research.

He really knows his stuff and is an excellent teacher. Highly recommended. Despite rumors, you don't do a lot of statistical calculations in this class.
