She grades papers fairly easy; however, her tests are difficult. I read the chapter and do the summaries, but still struggle on her tests (which come from the book). She doesn't offer study guides, or extra credit, and you have to make above an 95% to get an A (not the usual 93) ...but she is okay. There are more interesting perfessors, but she ok

Her 300 and 400 level classes are definitely harder, but she gave us study guides and never strayed from them. Tests were tough but very doable. Sometimes lectures weren't the most interesting, but I'd still suggest taking her!

Dr. Abel is a fantastic professor. A friend of mine had a hard time with her level of understanding when her father died, however. That is, of course, second-hand, so I suppose I will rely on what I know of her personally. Take her class...you will learn a lot!
