I took his online into to compsci, and it was fairly easy. We had one assignment per week, 3 tests, and one Lab proficiency exam. You have to do your work and really try for your exams, but I ended up with an A

So what's the easiest way to make it through this coma-inducing class? Instead of trying to follow Dr. Chiu's tortured English (uh...uh....then...uh...the Carry frag...uh), you do better spending class time reading the book yourself or playing w/ your laptop. Chiu is a "slide pointer," slavishly following the slides to the book. Easy grader,though.

Oh my!, this man CANT teach. He is NOT prepared, constantly messes up his OWN edited slides. Half the room on laptops, the other half sleeping HARDCORE deep. I wish I got paid to read slides and mess up with my own words too. I can teach that class BETTER than him

No doubt, Dr. Chiu knows a lot, but he needs to improve his teaching skills. Teaching is more than reading power point slides. When it comes to grading, one will find Dr. Chiu very leanient.

Dr. Chiu is a very fair teacher. His homeworks and tests are neither easy nor hard. He sticks to the text. He tries to help students as much as he can. The biggest problem is his English. His accent is heavy and sometimes it's hard to understand him. He is also kinda boring.

This man should be doing research, not teaching. He has no clue how to explain anything and has no idea how to answer a question. He's smart, but not a good teacher. Teach yourself the material and you'll be fine, if your lost than good luck b/c he isn't going to help.
