The lecture itself is interesting but nothing he teaches in class is put on the test. He spends a lot of his time explaining his personal experience as a psychologist but to pass the test you must read the chapters, or at least the reviews at the end of each chapter. You don't really need to show up for class & there are extra credit opportunities.

The final is optional if you take all 5 semester tests & are happy with your grade. The tests are easy and you'll get an A-B if you simply read the textbook. The lectures are insightful and gives his own insight on the subject. Many people don't show up due to un-mandatory attendance, but the class is easy and enjoyable.

He has 5 exams a semester and they are textbook based so get ready to teach yourself from your textbook. The lectures are very boring, but not mandatory. If you take all 5 tests, you dont have to take the final. There are no homework assignments but he gives extra credit if you write a paper or participate in a psych experiment.

No work given other than five exams all semester. There is a final but if you take all five exams it is optional. 50 question multiple choice every time. Questions are mostly from the textbook chapters (about 3 chapters per exam), a few from the study guide, and a few from in class discussions. Class was interesting and enjoyable to take.

You basically teach yourself in this class. He gives a good outline in his lectures but you have to reach the book throughly to be able to get a B on the tests. He lets you skip the final though!!

Most answers from the test come out of his exam practice papers and the textbook mini quizzes at the end of each lesson. Reading helped me pass. No homework or quizzes just 5 tests and the final is optional.

Most of the material is in the book and some test questions are covered in class. Attendance is not mandatory but it can help with a few test questions. I showed up to class and read the definitions in the chapters and got an A. He also gives extra credit by participating in research studies online. The final is optional if you take first 5 exams.

You have to teach yourself out of the book, and the material needed for an exam is always around 100-150 pages of reading. You get about 20% of the material in class and with the study guides he hands out. Have fun with the last 80%. Google was my friend. Please avoid if you can.

I don't know what to say. This class was pretty easy, go to lecture.. he puts about 10 questions on every test about random stuff said in lecture. Read the textbook, its actually interesting. And ALWAYS do the study guide/ last years test he gives out, it is always on the exam. Optional final, unless you miss an exam. TAKE HIM!!

The lectures were pretty interesting. Easy class to pass as long as you attend class and take notes on the readings. Attendance isn't mandatory but about some questions coming directly from the lectures will be on the tests.

Your experience will depend on how much you enjoy lecture-based classes. I enjoy his class because he is a clear speaker, follows the PowerPoint (but also shares personal anecdotes to help you remember things), and gives really helpful study guides. Reading the book is helpful and not painful. The textbook is somewhat interactive.

All you have to do is know the study guides he gives you. I didn't purchase the book like he recommended and got A's on the exams. The room is cold and his voice is soothing so I did want to go to sleep a lot. Some of what he mentions in class will be on the exam so showing up will get you a few more questions on the exam. I love Chamblain and am

Don't take this class! You have to teach yourself everything! His lectures are pointless. I sat through every class taking all the notes and only 5 questions from the notes were on the test. Yes, he did give a study guide with 50 questions on it, but he only used 7 or 8 questions off of it. So, basically the other 35 questions were from the book.

He's a great guy and teacher, his study guides contain over half the test questions and the other questions are just simple knowledge of whatever he teaches. You choose the tests you want to take which is helpful
