Mahmood is one of the nicest professors at COD. He will help you out if you run into problems. Also he knows what he is talking about, which really helps you to digest materials. His class might get harder if you don't pay attention. But overall you will not be disappointed by taking his class.

Mahmood is one of those professors that really makes you understand the material. His teaching style is amazing, whether or not it is on the board or projector. Final is straight out of the homework. 2134 was enjoyable. Count on studying hard as his class is only based off 4 exams. Really funny guy who is always available during office hours!

Easily distracted by the littlest things. Gives a ton of hw (per week) but doesn't grade any of it. Expects students to retain a plethora of info while trying to keep up with his notes on the board. Piles on loads of math per unit then gives 1 unit test on the whole thing! Spends too much of class time giving rants and lectures about the past. No!

He is a funny professor, but I took his course at the wrong time. He has back pain and this is his excuse for everything. He wants us to understand material after going over non-test level problems. He sits in his chair the whole class and writes down paragraphs that "explain" information. I'm not so sure how we are supposed to learn math that way.

Mahmood is a real stand up guy and he is obviously passionate about what he is teaching. tests can be tough, but do the hw and youll be fine, and he'll sneak a couple very difficult questions on them. he writes basically everything he says down on the board. If you learn well visually, you will definitely be satisfied by his teaching style.

Mahmood was picked at a whim for Differential Equations over the summer but pulled it off quite well. I had a very comfortable time going through the class; despite the length and frequency of summer class I never felt bored or particularly stressed. Quizzes were interpersonal and there was ample extra credit available at the end of the semester.

Mahmood is an amazing teacher who helps you to understand how every piece fits together. Gives plenty of partial credit and extra credit. The only real grades are for tests, but he only assigns hw problems he expects you to understand how to do on your own. If he wants you to know something, he will go over it. Awesome, hilarious guy.

Lectures are clear, and with many examples. Exams are tough but if you do the homework, and come in for help with the topics you're struggling with, you shouldn't have a problem getting at least a B.

Prof. with a dorky sense of humor. He is very passionate about math and obviously loves teaching. His tests can be stupid hard, but do the homework and take good notes and you should be fine. I feel he gives hard tests because he respects his students enough to challenge them. One of the best math instructors i have had.

He's a funny guy, and his lectures are clear and he writes everything down, but your whole grade depends on the four tests. There's homework, but it's not graded. He basically gives you little to no partial credit. Not very linnet. He's okay as a last resort.

Prof Mahmood really cares about his student understanding the material. He is very deliberate with what he writes on the board - if he writes it you better believe it will be on a test. He puts time and thought into his lectures and expects his students to respect that and show up to learn. He has a good sense of humor & his tests are hard but fair

This guy is great. He's funny, explains the material pretty well, and he doesn't even collect homework anymore, though he uses it extensively for the tests. I didn't find his tests to be too terribly hard, compared to some teachers. The only thing I don't like is that your entire grade rests on the test scores.

Nice guy, makes lectures interesting but the tests are ridiculously hard. I have always done good in math except for this class. I started off with an A and ended up with a C. If you're too confident during the beginning then wait until the final exam- it is a killer. Lenard is way better and lenient.

This guy is a complete waste of money. Doesn't take any responsibility for not being able to get his students to understand the material...his tests were from out of left field as well. I really regret taking this class over the summer, now I'm in the hole with money that I need to complete my education since this guy couldn't help me out.

Do not take! I took Calc 3 this summer and all of the students were from different schools. Class grade based solely on 4 tests. He was "not responsible for gaps in our education". Everyone doesn't know how to solve it, so please help; nope! Also he will not curve class grade if everyone fails because he will not accept your mediocrity.

One of few math professor to use different color markers, consistently; which IMO, is extremely helpful. He is articulate, thorough, and explains his stuff very very well. As with any calculus 2 class, if you do not show up in lectures or do any hw problems, you're not going to do well, regardless of the teacher. But he is a very good math teacher.

Great teacher. Took me a while to figure out that as long as I did the homework problems and studied his examples on the board, the tests were easy. he once took a test question that was done very poorly then showed a picture of the same exact problem he went over in class.

Extremely long, difficult tests. I come from a big 10 school with a good GPA, and I will barely pass this class. Not worth it if you are just looking to transfer credit.

Great teacher imo. Just like every other hard class people will drop. He does difficult examples in class to prepare you for his tests. If you show up you will learn. If this is just a pre-req and you dont care this is not the teacher for you. If you want to learn, then take him.
