Dr. Donoho is an outstanding person and teacher. She has a motherly quality about her, which makes me more inclined to learn. I can tell that she has a genuine desire to teach. The subject (stats) is very difficult, though, and if you don't do the homework every single week, you're going to flunk

Sucky dry subject -- I guess you couldn't enjoy it with any teacher really. She is nice and wants to make sure students understand what she's teaching but there were many times when people were still totally lost. As I said, I guess it wasn't her but the class is no fun.

One of SJSU's best... Miki shows genuince care for her students and want them to comprehend the topic. If you are getting poor results, talk to her, and she will help you out in any way she can. Got a B in this class, even though I am not a math person.

Miki is awesome!! This class was hard for me, and she is hard to understand a lot of the time. I did most of the hmwk, did well on the quizzes.My test grades were horrible to decent. I still got a B+. She is always willing to help and lets you call her cell!

Overall, it was an OK class. She is very helpful and willing to work with the class. The textbook was horrible. This class does demand a lot of time and at times can be hard. Score 80% on your exams and no final. Much of the class finished without having to take the final.

Shes ok, but sometimes she can be confusing. Her exams arent hard because the quizes she gives you are on the exam. I heard there was another easy teacher that just came from a community college thats cool, or hell, ask someone who's in donohos class now if you can have their midterms and quizzes.

when you ask questions, she does not like to be detailed, she teaches VERY FAST; and when she gives examples on transparencies, it's like she is teaching the lesson to herself, students are not happy; except for some who are kiss-ass students...

This lady is very anal about homework being in on time. There's a lot of HW but do them because they help so much on quizzes and tests. I didn't take the final b/c my grade was good enough but most of the class was struggling.Keeps you late.
