Mitch is there for you. He was my first year advisor and InterArts class professor, and I loved his classes and the points he brings up about art. He's a great advisor both academically and for a smooth transition to college life. Mitch is passionate and chill, and worth getting to know as a person even if you're not a theater and dance major.

Artistic Visions and Imaginary Worlds FY Seminar. He assigns a TON of reading that seems useless until you get to class and develop connections through group discussions. You read a ton of really interesting and off-beat stuff that you would never see otherwise. Take a class with Polin if you're interested in remixing or art in general.

Good professor to talk to. For those who think outside of the box, have strong opinions, refuse to confrom to his teaching style, etc., it might be hard to break in at first. Give it time. It's worth it. He's a great conversationalist.

I have never had such an unreasonable professor. He assigns ludricous amounts of work, but is surprised when the quality of our writing comes up short. His lectures are largely esoteric and do not benefit any potential theatre majors.

Mitch Polin is one of the worse professors at Trinity. Outside of the class, he is a very nice individual. He mumbles and casually throws obscure philosophical concepts, which he assumes the class is well versed in, at you. The material he teached is only what he really likes and finds interesting. Don't take any classes with him if you can.

Mitch is a "firm believer in process" - meaning you can resubmit that midterm paper as much as you like. A wonderful blend of discussion, presentations, video, lecture. Just think for yourself, do the work, and be open to some crazy (but cool) ideas. And yes, you will read philosophy in his theatre courses. And rightfully so.

weird experience.co taught by 2 profs. very dif. grading styles. Thought he and I meshed teacher-student-wise, then went to his office-door, overheard him say my name and to lock the door in case I was coming up (his office faces steps to building. I was pretty hurt. One of my worst grades at Trinity even though he said I was doing very well.
