Overall not a bad experience, until he gave me an F on a paper because he didnt agree with my thesis. He said it was well written but it wasnt the stance he wanted me to take even though I did follow the thesis. He told me I could still pass if I wrote a new paper. I wrote a new paper. It was never graded and I did not pass.

If taking the EU, Dr. Smith is the professor to take. His knowledge is incredible and the way he is able to take a difficult concept and make it so simple amazes me. By the end of 1 semester with him, all your expectations about what you thought you knew about the EU will be shattered. He is pro forever closer union, but entertains opposing views.

Great teacher and passionate. Promotes lots of group discussion. After this class I am not fascinated about European politics (Down with Berlusconi :)). Anyway, as long as you are an institutionalist he won't chew you up to much. you will learn alot, understand everything, and work hard.

Prof. Smith is incredibly knowledgeable and very easy to listen to. Class conversations are engaging and enjoyable. It is absolutely mandatory to do the readings and attend lectures, otherwise you won't know what to write about in the exams or papers. Not an easy class, but a wonderful one, nonetheless.

Mitch is great.Displays a remarkable knowledge of the material(I know its his job, but he ties concepts together and see connections between things like no other).His class isn't easy and he expects a lot. However, is very intelligent, has a sense of humor, helps you to understand the material,and not at all pompous-remarkable for an ivy leaguer
