All the things you will learn from this class come from the book. The lectures are usually videos that leave you guessing why you watched them but pay attention you will be tested on them. He has hardly anything to get points on.

He doesn't really teach what is on the quizzes. He gives you a review guide of terms to study for the quizzes, if you study from them you should be fine. The 2 open responses on the quizzes usually come from videos you watched in class or something he talked about. You will know everything about his wife June, grandkid Macey, and his 2 dogs

Zimmerman was a nice guy but he was definitely a mess with his thoughts. Definitely not impossible to get an A, actually quite easy if you read the book. If you read and understand the book you probably wouldn't even have to go to lectures but he does pass out an attendance sheet. All of the tests are the same format! Find the pattern to study! :)

Tom was okay honestly, but had no sense of organization. He was constantly all over the place! Be sure to double check test corrections as those are usually a bit of a mess. Not sure if it was a rough semester for him or if he is always like that but he had no sense of what to do. The textbook is used heavily on tests so be sure to buy it.

Super nice guy and is very enthusiastic about the material. He does get a little off topic every so often, but it stays within the class' subject matter. Fables and fairy tales was a supremely easy and relaxing class that I think everyone should take with him. Basically no homework, only 4 very simple papers.

He is not very good at lecturing or managing time to get everything done in time for the final, but his class follows a pattern. If you pay attention to what he emphasizes and read outside of class, there is no reason you won't pass. While his jokes are not funny, him trying to make them is. Overall, not a bad teacher. Just a dry class.

He is very nice, can get off topic but that is just him. He has a cool way of collaborating all the information together so it makes sense. You can meet with him after class. Gives positive feedback. He's exams are more application so make sure you don't just study definitions and can use the information in a real life event. Good pick!

Although he is a nice professor he will talk the whole time about his life and not anything that we actually need to know. He'll basically say when we'll have a test and what chapters its on, but not what to study. It's like a guessing game of what he'll put on the tests and quizzes, my advice, learn all the terms.

Very nice, but ALWAYS goes SO FAR off topic you might cover ONE concept per class. Study guides aren't very helpful at all and very few questions come from the book. The class is way more about psychologists and theories than actually learning about development. You need his handouts. Hard to know what to study and hard to get an A because of that.

Strays off topic then put things on the test that has nothing to do with what he taught. Covers barely information in the class so your book is going to be your best friend. This class is strictly lecture. Really boring! He does two very small papers every other grade is a test.

This professor gives lectures that doesn't even make sense. He tends to be long winded about examples that doesn't relate to what we are supposed to be learning. Then he gives tests that leave you clueless because they are so inset into the book material you can't find it. Terrible... that is all.

Zimmerman is such a nice guy! He does stray off topic, and takes a while to grade papers, but he is very fair. Get on his good side, and you will be sure to pass any class you take with him.

Great guy and has a lot of good stories to tell but gets off topic very easy and barely covers material before quiz. Must get as much from the book as you can. doesn't give many notes. tests are kind of hard.

Tom is a great guy, extremely nice, and down to earth. If you are the type of student who has to be taught with powerpoints, DO NOT, repeat do not, take him. He gives you a study guide for every quiz which is helpful, but teaches like 5 things off of that. The book is your best friend, and the quizzes are easy if you study a few hours everyday.

I have his class as an 8am and it is very boring and hard to concentrate. All he does is talk. He shows videos every now and then but they are outdated. You learn a lot about his two dogs. Your study guide is a list of vocab terms that you need to define to pass the test. You also have to write two papers. Learn more from textbook than class.

Dr. Zimmerman is pretty cool! He relates Neuropsychology (that's the class I took) to things in real life. His tests are kind of hard if you don't study. He also gives you lots of interesting reading assignments!

Very nice guy and easy to get along with. Willing to help if needed. If you do the terms and attend class, should be easy to pass the class. He only gives a few quizzes and the midterm/final along with 2 short writing assignments. He does tend to go off subject sometimes, but I found that to be ok. I still enjoyed the class and got a B.

I think he is easy. If you study the vocab sheet then you will do fine. His questions on test are very easy to understand. He also gets his midterm and final test questions from the test prior. Just study the vocab and you will pull out with a B or higher no problem.
