Intro to Psych with MJ was my favorite class my first year! MJ is so approachable & accessible if you have a question or want feedback on your writing. She learned everyone's name very quickly & showed many thought-provoking films during section. Exams were on lecture material only. (Don't buy the textbook, just use it on reserve at the library).

Great professor. All you had to do was respond to some of the readings and do three exams. The exams are held in the library and are not timed which is great for people that hate the anxiety of thinking under timed-conditions. You only need the slides when studying for the exams (so don't buy the textbook). Overall, great class and great professor.

M.J. is so sweet and helpful. She makes sure her class is engaging and interactive, the only gripe I have is there are a lot of movies and I took her class in the morning. Professor Wraga used to be an editor so she gives good but hard feedback on papers, but she is super lenient when grading tests. A fun class.

I've only ever taken two classes with M.J. intro to psych in my first semester, and foundations of behavior in my last, and when I raised my hand on the first day of foundations she called on me by name. She clearly cares about and remembers her students, not that you would necessarily notice. She's a calm, quiet presence, but she knows a lot.

she's a very nice teacher. a bit stoic, but hey, you're there to learn, not socialize. she's quiet, but not cold or anything. her teaching is very clear, and doesn't overwhelm you with the material. i definitely wouldn't be nervous about taking her classes in the future.

Take good notes in her class. Study from the slides she gives you. She is not funny or outgoing, but she is really nice. She tries her best to make sure you understand the material. If you don't understand then ask. She is not good with names... Her exams are very straightforward. Easy to prepare for.

MJ is the best prof. I have had at Smith so far! I have taken 3 classes with her and she was so great that I asked her to be my advisor for the psych major. She is so thorough and clear and best of all, she is extremely sweet and caring and really wants to help. Definitely take a class with MJ!!

I am sure she is a very smart professor. After all, she attended Emory and Harvard. However, her power points are incomprehensible. All she does is put pictures, and no words. Also,the pictures are a mix of the intro to neuro textbook and the course textbook. She is also disorganized in her thought process.

MJ is a very smart prof, but not the best teacher. She can answer any question you ask her, but her lessons are lack luster and oscilate between being conviluted or too repeatitive. I didn't go to class much, but crammed for the final and aced it fine. Class time just felt like unnessesary review sessions.

I am so glad I took MJ's section. She always makes sure that everyone understands, and answers all of our questions even if it takes forever. She's also fun to talk to outside of class. MJ is funny and engaging, and she makes you want to learn.

MJ is great. She'll go over material with you until you understand it. She's willing to help you out of class and grades fairly. I think her humor is an acquired taste--I like it, but I'm weird:) Her voice is really soft, but it isn't a problem. I'd definately a class with her again.
