Would not recommend. Lectures are very confusing and he doesn't clearly explain the concepts. I had to teach myself most of the time. There is a lot of quizzes but most are easy. He makes you feel dumb when you ask questions. The tests are really difficult and a majority of the grade is the tests and quizzes, making it really difficult to pass.

Be ready to study on your own and watch a lot of tutorial videos on Youtube cause personally I didn't understand any lecture. He just works out problems without even saying what topic they fall under, so most of the time I didn't understand what he was talking about! I felt lost in class! I wouldn't recommend him not even to students who love math.

Amazing! He has a unique way of teaching but it works well. He wants his students to pass. Always has jokes and they are math related so it makes class THAT much better. Which I could take him for Calc 1 but his class was had a wait list of 14 by the time i got to choose my classes. He also gives extra credit if you do problems on the board.

He's really nice but I didn't understand him. His class was easy or so i thought but when it was time for the tests I obviously didn't grasp the information. I left this class feeling like I didn't learn anything and apparently my grade reflected that despite going for tutoring 10+ hrs and office hours. Supposedly an easy A for every1 but me.

Very nice guy. I was recommended by many friends to take him for calculus 2. His lectures can get a bit confusing, but ask questions and he will answer them. If you're stacking a semester and need a math class with little workload, take Tavakoli. He really cares for his students and cracks jokes to make the environment less stressful. Great guy!

Ive never had a math professor who knew the subject so well. He is clear in his teaching, and more than fair in his grading. Its not an easy A, necessarily, but you will certainly know Trig when youre done.

Hes probably one of the best professor in Chaffey college. Considering he teaches upper division math classes. He makes it fun and you actually learn the material attending the lectures. I only took calc II this semester because I was able to sign up for his class. Very well respected professor among other professors.

Walking into Stats 10 I was terrified because the highest level of math I took was Geometry in HS. Tavakoli made stats so easy to understand he has a good sense of humor which made class go by quick. He wants all his students to pass he gives 2% extra credit towards the exam that you received.

I took CALC3 with him and it was one of the easiest math class I've ever taken. He gives a review sheet every time before the tests and final. As long as you understand those you should be fine. He gives around 15 quizzes but they are extremely easy and he drops the lowest three (so don't worry). Easy grader, no one failed this class.

A really awesome professor. However, he doesn't use the book that often. So don't plan on skipping lectures. If you are willing to learn, you should have no problem in his class. Also, expect many subtle jokes. Lastly, I couldn't help but notice his uncanny resemblance to Sir Paul McCartney. I'm not even joking.

This guy is the bomb, no joke. One of the best math professor's I've ever had. He makes them easy and fun. Easiest A I've gotten in a math class, no joke. Daily homework is fantastic so you always know the material. He doesn't give questions you don't know on the exam, so if you do homework well you'll get an A. He's a funny guy and really cares.

Took him over the summer for Math 31. He is a great professor, that really cares about his students, gives lots of extra credit, and even drops the lowest test. I feel I could of gotten an A had i not took another class over summer. He doesn't use the book, nor give out much hwk. So study the study guides and you'll do fine on the tests.

There is not much to say against him. He is great person, but his class goes pretty fast. You will fall behind for sure. The good thing is he will use his personal time organize study group and also give test review. Be prepare to learn.

If you like a teacher that uses textbooks, lecture seems organized, and is clear leaving few questions then I advise you to run. Say you do have a question? Professor Tavakoli is awesome! He is an amazing professor and you can tell he his passionate about math and he is extremely intelligent. I took him for math 25 and he always gave study guides for test which was awesome because we knew what to study for the test. He also gave extra credit points. His lectures are clear and straight to the point!

I struggled a lot in this class the material was very challenging but this was one of the best classes ive taken in that I learned to hold my own and work hard for my grade. The study guides for the test however really made this class doable because they only cover what is on the exam and I appreciated that highly reccomend this professor

Hands down the best math Professor at Chaffey! I took 3 different type of math classes (410, 425, 25) with him. He teach in a way to make math easy for students to understand. He's so funny and his jokes are unique. hehe Wish there were more professors like him at Chaffey! TAKE HIM AND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT !!
