Moira is a tough marker, but she is also fair (It's English class, so grammar does matter). It really helps to ask questions in class, and it's a good idea to go to her office hours. She's organized and focused. I'd definitely take another class with her again.

Awesome teacher!! You will learn a lot with her! She gives clear examples in class of what she wants you to do in the essays. Also, go to her office hours and get her to proofread your essays before you hand them in, helps a LOT!

Moira marks way too hard for an 1100 class. She picked her favourites in class and I had a really hard time impressing her. I went from 89% in Eng 12 in high school to 60% in Moira's class in just one year. She is completely subjective and unfair in her marking. I definitely would NOT recommend Moira. Good luck if you do have her, you'll need it.

Moira is the nicest and the most helpful teacher among all. She helps students to criticize more and develop proficient writing skills. she's the best English teacher EVER!!!! she marks really fair and she keeps everyone interested in what she teaches. you do have to write a lot of essays but no worries she helps you as much as she can ...even if it means you have to ask her the same question 100 times, she never makes you feel stupid. Great teacher. Engages the class in very structured (yet helpful) discussions and analysis of the books/poems. Entertaining and very clear. Not that hard of a marker, but her comments really help. Also, unlike some English profs, she doesn't have that holier-than-thou attitude, which is always a plus. Highly recommended!

She is a very nice teacher. However, she doesn't mark easy, but her marking is not hard eaither. I would say that its fair. You learn a lot from her class. If you take her, just watch out that you have to work hard to receave a good mark. You can't just slack off!
