For a good portion of the labs she made me furious with her attitude. If you didn't write in the notebook exactly how she wants, she'll take marks off. Not only that, she's rude about it and says "Does that make sense?" after every sentence when it doesn't make sense at ALL. If I ask a tiny question for clarity, she'll talk until its more confusing

Every lab you do you have to write a lab report, and by the time you get it handed back, you'll have just handed one in. She takes off little marks for everything and it adds up. She is hard to please, and though comes off friendly, tends to be condescending.

I don't usually make an effort to say negative things about people if i don't need to but Astrid is the exception. Quite possibly the worst teacher i have ever had. She finds joy in confusing her students and makes assignments ridiculously time consuming. She should not be teaching.

worst prof. ever. i never understood what she wanted us to write on lab reports and never explained properly in lab too. get ready to read zubrick if this is your 1st time taking organic. bug her during her office hours with questions on TLC, GC otherwise she's not helpful. got C+ in every lab report and never told them clearly. sh's annoying

Doesn't explain at all what your reports should be so read zubrick carefully. She easily takes marks off and never hesitates to put zeros. She never answers your question during lab. ANNOY her!!at her office to write your lab report, check your report with her in person before handing in; hopefully get a C+ or B. Watch youtube videos before labs

I have got A's and B's so far in Chem, and F with her. She will say you 1000 words for your problem just to annoy you but not a single word that answers your question. Never got above 510 on lab reports. You have to write a PRELAB, then IN LAB for taking notes in the lab and finally LAB REPORT..! same lab 3 times, jst WHY.? dropped my GPA as heL

She is an underated lab instructor and doesn't deserve this degree of negativity. Before every lab, she gives a quick and helpful demo to get you on track. If you are confused, she is always willing to help. She is a reasonable marker who doesn't mark too hard. The only thing that frustrated me was her clarity on the pre lab homework requireme

She even said everyone on hear is just venting and angry. If 99% of these comments are negative, don't you think it's time to be more lenient? She is uptight and watches over your shoulder like a hawk. It is uncomfortable she takes away marks easy; like a fly is on your paper.

Horrible! Professor! Our regular professor came in half way through the lab time and he seemed to dislike her and what she said. She is a hard marker and has a horrible personality. She gives away junk to the people who score the highest on the labs. It makes for an awkward lab. She is not friendly and her lab demos takes forever.

Very hard marker, tends to lose labs. MAKE SURE YOUR LAB BOOK ORGANIZED ! She told me she didnt have a mark for a second half of a two part lab that was STAPLED TOGETHER. I dont know how she managed that.

If you want to learn something about Chem, this is not the instructor for the job. When she tries to fix something SHE thinks is wrong with your setup she makes it worse and then blames you and you loose marks. If you get stuck with her, don't put up with her attempt at intimidation. Put her in her place and she will turtle. Very bad role modle.

Please fire this "instructor"! It's as if she's trying to make students hate Chemistry. You'd think she'd be intellegent enough rethink her grading of reports when every student complains. She should not be in a position where she can influence the minds of young up-and-coming scientists. It is a shame that her behaviour runs unchecked by her boss.

The ultimate WORST lab instructor there could be at Kwantlen. Likes to blame others for things they didn't do and she thinks she doesn't make any mistakes. EXTREMELY unfair marker and when you try to tell her, she thinks she is never wrong.
