Fantastic prof and involved classes. By far the best prof I have had yet, at any school. Uses engaged learning instead of lecturing at us. Generous grader (very clear where you need to get and how to get there, doesn't penalize twice).

I absolutely love this prof! This course is pretty much the toughest course I've done so far, but Mona really tries to make every student understand what they're doing. The amount of help she gives to students like me is heartwarming.

I don't even know where to start. Mona is super sweet, funny, approachable and friendly. Her lectures are clear and you spend a lot of time on practice questions. The homeworks really help with understanding. Exams are amazing. No prof cares like she does about her students and to top it all off she is genuinely inspirational. Best prof I've had <3

Mona was an amazing prof. She really cares about her students and will spend a lot of time with you going over questions if needed. Her midterm and final was very fair, as long as you study. Even though the topic was hard, she was clear in what we needed to know and was great at explaining the material.

Mona is the best prof at UBC hands down. She really cares if you get the material. Even if it takes a long time for you to understand she will be by your side until you do. If all teachers were like her the world would be a better place. Very kind as well.

Best prof I have ever had. She actually cares about you as a student learning in her class. She has amazing notes I still use to this day. I will take any course she ever teaches. 312 was one of the hardest classes I have taken, but also the most rewarding. She's a God send.

Dr. Berciu is easily the best professor/teacher I've ever had. She is so clear in class (despite having no notes to read off of as others have noted), and what she writes down on the board is extremely complete and organized. In her office hours she is patient and kind. Unfortunately for future students, she is not teaching 206 anymore...
