His lectures are pretty much useless. He spends most of the time drawing structures and writing mechanisms. He doesn't actually TEACH you the material. Is helpful outside of class however. Make use of the practice quizzes he posts online because they are good examples of his test q's!!!!!

He's not the best prof i've had, but isn't the worst either. Yes it is true what other say about his lectures being unorgainzed. You will take very little from them. He has online exams and helpful files that make his tests easy. If you get him as a prof, don't freak out, but don't be happy either.

Absolutely uselss to go to his lectures, and absolutely impossible to get any useful help from him (and students getting two page rants when asking simple questions doesn't help !). Fortunately the text-book is good !

I don't really understand everyone's problem with Singh. I understand him just fine, he teaches the material he tests, got a good mark. Unlike all of these other people I barely touched the textbook and understood the material just by attending his lectures.

My advice is read his online notes and the text readings he assigns and you'll do great. His lectures won't make any sense otherwise as he doesn't really teach in them, just use them to compliment your self taught textbook readings. His tests are easy if you do this, especially if you've taken biochem. Give him credit for trying- he does care.

WOW! I think everyone is being a little unfair about Singh. He is a little hard to understand if you go to class unprepared, but read ahead at it all makes sense. His exams are very fair and relatively easy. He is very approachable and I think he honestly wants people to do well.

Probably the worst prof I've had in university. His lectures were very unorganized and difficult to follow. I was able to pass with a decent mark because I ended up skipping his class and going to the class of a professor who could actually teach.
