Not a bad teacher. Just boring. Need to give forms of bonus that do not involve taking time out of your busy schedule to sit in the library forever. Also doesnt round grades. I was one question from the next letter grade and he kept me at the lower one.

Professor Smart is a jewel of the Arch Dept! I absolutely LOVED his class,one of my very favorites. Points are given for attendance so you need to come if you want a good grade, however, he is sweet enough to give extra credit opportunities. He genuinely cares about his students, but expects you to put forth effort. Great class for history lovers!

I absolutely loved this class. Mr. Smart knows his architecture! He's been all over the world and has lots of personal stories which makes it all the more interesting. Some of the other reviews make him out to be a boring old man. Well they probably didn't listen to him and slept through class. Take good notes & study the PA packet. It's an easy A.

Comment:

Great teacher! Very sweet old man who knows his stuff. He has been almost everywhere he talks about, so that makes it very interesting. Attendance helps, because you get points for each class you attend, but there are a lot of extra credit opportunities to make up any missed points, or just for extra points. Test are easy as long as you study.

he is a really nice man but his class is pretty boring. He only lectures for the first 20 min. or so then its lights out and all slides so it is hard to stay awake. You need to go to class tho b/c he takes attendance and its easy points for the class. he offers bonus videos to watch. Get there early the day before test day b/c he hands out old tes

Funny old guy. Not a hard class at all. Just show up for every other class, study the online slides and it's pretty easy to get an A. There's a lot of extra credit available just for watching videos in the library. You can add 10 points to each test grade just by doing this. Not bad if you need a fine arts survey.

Professor Smart is the sweetest professor that I've ever had at the U of A. His tests are multiple choice-very simple if you read his PA packet. Plus, if you're in honors, you get to go visit really neat houses around fayetteville. He also offers bonus if you go watch a movie in the library. He's been to almost all the buildings he talks about.

Good teacher, been around since most of the buildings he talks about were made. Word of advice, dont sit near the back of the class because it makes it nearly impossible to stay awake. He's got that real quiet voice, kinda like he's telling you a bedtime story.

Ole Murray is a good guy. He is well traveled and very educated. The class isn't very exciting, but the material is interesting. The tests are easy though. He's done this for a while, so he knows what works. If you pay attention some of the time, you will learn something. He's cool.
